FDSN Florida Presents the 4th Anniversary of QCW Ruckus [October 10th, 2025]

  • 📺 live on FanDuel Sports Network Florida

  • 📍 Quality Arena in Parts Unknown, FL

  • Instead of the usual open, we got a highlight package that went longer than usual and showed big moments from the first four years of Ruckus, the wild brawls, crazy high spots, some title changes.  The package ended with the words Thank You in gold, cursive writing.

  • We got Steve Vandeblanche and Carl Christensen on the call for Ruckus’ 4th anniversary show - one headlined by a Cruel Summer rematch where Nazir el-Fadal will try to get back the World championship from the man from the Republic who stole it from him, Omar Littlefield.  After some additional hype for the ten team battle royale where the winners get a shot at Hysteria’s World Tag Team championships come Dia de los Muertos, they threw things to Duck Eko.  The Voice of QCW welcomed the rowdy Quality Controllers to the 4AS and thanked them for continuing to support QCW before making the introductions for the opening contest…

  • 1. “The Proper Villain” Richard Windsor d. Kam Ellis (w/the Cooper Brothers) at 10:07 Ellis scored a win for Sky's the Limit in a trios match last week and looked good early on in this one.  With the power advantage, the powderkeg of StL used his muscle to put Windsor to the canvas early and often.  A banged up Windsor rolled out to the floor but when Kam looked to follow up, Richard reached out and yanked Ellis’ arm into the ringpost as hard as he could.  Kam’s now injured arm was draped over the top step and Windsor applied a modified cross arm breaker across the steps before bending Kam’s elbow back and double stomping the now mangled arm into the top of the steps.  Even hurt, Kam managed to get back in the ring to break the ref’s count at 9, but he was now a one armed man in an ass-kicking contest and Windsor with his new, more sadistic attitude made Ellis pay.  The rest of the match was mostly one way traffic for Richard, and even when Ellis put up a brief rally he instinctively tried to throw a lariat with the injured arm.  That allowed Windsor to block it with an European uppercut that sounded like it broke bones before the man now calling himself the Proper Villain leveraged Kam down into a crossface.   A cut to backstage showed “the Fury” Jim Jaspers watching on a monitor and it was hard to tell if he was more upset about his treacherous ex partner succeeding or the fact that he was surrounded by Quality Force Security that were clearly there to keep him from getting his hands on Richard.  Ellis couldn't get his hands on Richard either for what remained of the match; Windsor only needed another minute and change to end things with a half and half suplex.  Windsor scowled at the fans as he left to boos while on commentary Carl wondered if the absent Tre Boyd had seen this and was concerned he was going to pull a Windsor on his friends.

  • A video package hyped up the Dia de los Muertos PPV coming later this month with a Norteño band - the EZ Band, based on what I’ve seen on Quality Social - covering the late, great Ozzy's “Crazy Train” while QCW highlights played.  Soon, there were cuts to the Toyota Center and the Houston skyline interspliced in there as well.  On the 26th, the last Sunday of the month will see the latest PPV from QCW blast off from the home of the Rockets.  It’ll be a spooky good PPV ba dum KSSH

  • 2. The International Players (w/Jupiter Jones) d. Hellraisers at 8:12 The schneid is over for the Players after months of losing, first their World Tag Team championships to Hysteria then the abrupt firing of their mentor Jones.  But with him back on the roster after AnniVersary and in their corner tonight, you could feel and see that they had their old swagger back.  The Brits came into the match with decent momentum and didn't let the crowd’s taunts get to them but a blind tag allowed Lucius Patton and Benjamin Valentino to connect on a spinebuster into falling reverse DDT that turned the tides in the match.  They smartly isolated the smaller Gerry Greene and when his heavy Ian Cook tried to come in to make the save he got a double drop toe hold that sent him right into Greene’s bangers and mash.  After clearing out Cook they were able to connect on the Playa Hata for the first time in months, and a depleted Greene had no answer for the avalanche rana into powerbomb combo.  Players win, Players win, daaaa Players win!  (Too soon?)

  • The fellas celebrated their first win in months and Science Fiction Double Feature came out to join them in the celebration, but SFDF’s night is just beginning - they'll be in the ten team battle royale to determine new #1 contenders to Hysteria's World Tag Team championships - and that battle royale is next on the decks after we run through a few pesky commercials.

  • Ruckus returned airing a pretape that happened Earlier Today as the Republic were called on the carpet figuratively and literally by Commissioner Holmes.  He and Ig de Catur were across from each other at his desk, neither man hiding their disdain for the other.  Holmes said that if he was more like Ig or if his hired goon Omar Littlefield didn't have the World championship for a few more hours he would’ve fired the whole damn lot of them already.  But if Ig recognized who ran things around here after AnniVersary and was willing to get kicked down to just being a manager, that would work fine by him.  Holmes began to dismiss them when Ig brought up the Malicía/Orion rematch for the National championship at Dia de los Muertos and said that since his client was one half of the probable Rivalry of the Year, the only thing that could make the rematch even better would be a little cherry on top.  So what if next week, they engaged in the QCW staple Pick Your Poison - Malicía would pick an opponent for Orion, Orion would pick a victim for Malicía to destroy, and whoever got their win the fastest would be able to pick a stipulation for the title match on PPV.  Holmes thought about it for a couple of beats before saying he would run it by Orion and see what they said.  Holmes dismissed the Republic as Quality Force Security flanked him and surrounded de Catur, Littlefield, Fernandez, Pyotr Caviar and Ig’s personal security and former QFSers in Republic Enforcement.  The Republic accurately read the room and left the Commissioner's office, leaving Holmes to grumble that he should have made Ig work the concession stands.

  • As the ring continued to fill up with tag teams, we got to see the entrances for the Glam Squad, Justine Danek & Bella Jolie of Hysteria, then “These Hands” Roy Fade and “Dashing” Pierce Moore representing Beast Mode.  The twenty deep ring cast eyes at each other as Steve said that once a member of that team was eliminated, the whole team was out of the running.

  • Once the bell rang it didn't take long for the excrement to smack the cooling device, as Justine sprayed Ashok Banjerjee in the face with black mist before she and Bella set him flying over the top with Jacques Krieger unable to save his partner.  (10 • BanjerKriegs by Hysteria) The medical staff and Jacques helped a screaming Ashok to the med bay in the back while Justine cackled in the ring right before getting blindsided by Jane Doe of SciFi Double Feature.  With 18 people still in the fray, fights were happening all over the ring whether it was Beast Mode against the Cooper Brothers or International Lotus 2.0 against the Game Changers.  It looked like we were about to get a second elimination when Drake Tremble tossed Mare Cooper over the top rope, but the twin representing Sky’s the Limit managed to skin the cat and get himself back into the ring.  The Coopers went after Tremble and Fade while across the ring Caleb Gray was preaching to the Glam Squad.  Lotus 2.0 and the Game Changers continued to spar while the Squad nodded at Caleb, both shook his hand – and then launched him over the top to the joy of the crowd.  (9 - the Chosen by the Glam Squad) Gray and Tremble fumed from the floor while the Squad mocked the faces of the reformed.  Steve wondered on commentary if Caleb was now second guessing benching Justice Davis after last week in favor of Tremble while a couple of referees made sure they went to the back.  Brawls continued rolling inside the ring as the Glam Squad got jumped by Beast Mode and the All Starr Stable of Evan O'Neill and Prince Ootsuka went after the Coopers as everybody found new dance partners to throw hands at.  In the chaos a sort of mini match broke out as the Game Changers faced off against Justine and Bella, and it looked like the former tag champions were winning it on points.  Ashley “THEE Influencer” Szabo looked to dump Bella, but Nancy Crowley bit the face of “Tiki God” Al Buffett to get free of him so she could run over and help Bella get Ashley over the top rope.  Al staggered over to help but the witches backdropped him to the apron before they hit Buffett and Szabo with stereo superkicks to end their night.  (8 - the Game Changers by Hysteria, their 2nd elimination)

  • 14 left as the announce put over the second elimination from Hysteria and the fact that for weeks they’d talked about having the two best tag teams in the world - and maybe there'd be an all Hysteria tag titles match at Dia de los Muertos if Justine and Bella could keep up the roll they were on.  Danek and Jolie turned their attention to fighting Science Fiction Double Feature as the Glam Squad and All Starr Stable fought, as well as Lotus 2.0 and the Cooper Brothers, allowing Beast Mode to stick together in a corner and plot next moves.  Fade & Moore broke the huddle and then attacked, first helping Lotus with some cheap shots on their former friends the Coopers before changing the scope.  With Evan O'Neill on the ropes it looked like the All Starr Squad’s night was about to come to an end when Pierce spun “Fahrenheit” Freddie Valsada around and hit him with a Fresh To Death.  Freddie bounced off the canvas and got greeted by Roy Fade’s knee strike.  It looked like Poetry in Motion, but it hit hard enough to send the newcomer over the top rope with his partner Cole Grant unable to keep him from hitting the floor.  (7 - Glam Squad by Beast Mode) Six teams remaining and things broke down into two separate fights.  In one, the All Starr Stable and International Lotus 2.0 got into a loose alliance to double team Science Fiction Double Feature while in the other Beast Mode continued fighting the Coopers with the representatives of Hysteria mostly hanging back and occasionally getting in shots on both teams.  Beast Mode took offense and told Hysteria they were just trying to help, which only got them more shots from Danek & Jolie.  On the other side of the ring, Evan O'Neill took down both members of Science Fiction Double Feature by plowing through them with a double spear and laying out Cindy Monet and Jane Doe.  The smarmy O’Neill then essentially offered them up on a platter to Lotus, who were more than happy to make a meal out of humiliating their summer long rivals.  Evan and the Prince backed into a neutral corner while Fiona Fogg and Sohla Patel landed a few clubbing forearms to Feature’s backs before the Stable told Lotus to bounce them.  Fiona & Sohla loved the idea and scooped up the Collipark representatives to eliminate them – but Patel’s toss of Monet turned into a head scissors, then Cindy hung on to the top rope to give her more leverage and send the Lotus figurehead crashing to the floor, turning Sohla from the eliminator to the eliminated.  (6 - International Lotus 2.0 by Science Fiction Double Feature) Seeing this sent O’Neill running to the rescue - but Cindy & Jane saw them coming and yanked down the top rope to send them flying over the top.  To add insult to injury, they wiped out both Lotus reps on their way to taking the Sad Hulk walk to the back.  (5 - the All Starr Stable by Science Fiction Double Feature their 2nd elimination overall & in a row)

  • Lotus and the Stable could fume all they wanted but the FINAL 4 were set: Beast Mode, the Coopers, Hysteria and SciFi Double Feature.  The teams sized each other up and exchanged glances until everyone rushed the middle of the ring and a Pier 8 broke out to the loud approval of the Quality Controllers.  It looked like Hysteria and Mode had gotten the upper hands but four whips into the ropes turned into four huracanranas from the Coopers and SFDF.  Things further dispersed as the ring turned into essentially four one on one battles instead of two tag fights or a four on four.  At one point a few beats later it looked like Bella Jolie was going to eliminate Jane Doe, but Doe fought her way off the apron with some forearms and a high kick to get Bella off of her so she could re enter the fray.  A minute or so later, a mirror of that played out when it looked like Cindy Monet would get rid of Justine Danek, but Justine fought back by gouging Cindy’s eyes before putting her to the mat with a diving leg lariat.  While Hysteria and SFDF were fighting on one side of the ring, the Beast Mode/Cooper Brothers rivalry continued playing out on the other side of the ring.  It looked like Pierce Moore might be ready to win the mini battle when he went for a Fresh To Death, but Marc shoved the cutter attempt towards his brother Mare who capitalized by landing a huracanrana that sent Pierce over the top rope.  Moore barely hung onto the top rope, causing Marc to come help his brother with the elimination – but didn't see Roy Fade coming, as the former Golden Gloves winner blasted him with a running knee to the back to send him flying to the floor just as Mare’s kick sent Moore down and out next to his brother.  (4/3 - the Cooper Brothers by Beast Mode, their second elimination overall • Beast Mode by the Cooper Brothers)

  • Mare and Fade briefly glared at each other before a Cooperrana (that one’s free, Steve) sent them both to the floor. Some referees tried to get involved but the Coopers and Beast Mode cared less about the battle royale they were now out of and more about punching each other as they have most of the summer; Mare & Fade fought their way through the concourse while Marc & Moore brawled up the ramp and to the back.

  • And then there were two teams left standing; one outcome led to an all Hysteria match that seemed to be subtly teased for weeks, the other would see the revitalized SFDF earn their way to a shot at the World Tag Team titles and maybe bring them back to Collipark.  Cindy, Jane, Justine and Nancy slowly got to their feet and looked at their opponents before charging and kicking off a four woman hockey fight in the middle of the ring.  The crowd began chanting “Collipark!” to give the ATLiens a second wind and it seemed to work as Cindy and Jane began using kicks instead of forearms, then took down both Hysteria members with double dropkicks.  Feature picked up Justine and sent her flying out to the apron, but a desperation spear by Bella sent Cindy colliding with Jane before they could send Danek out to the floor.  Even worse, with Jane out of the picture and Justine in position, QCW”s resident witches fought fire with machine gun fire and came back to take down Monet with their trademark Twelve Feet Under.  Quality Arena deflated over seeing SFDF get laid out - well, except the tag champs on the ramp seeing their co-conspirators succeed.  Bonnie Agrippa and Nancy Crowley applauded and cackled the imminent showdown against their co-conspirators as Justine and Bella pointed at them with small evil grins on their faces.  They picked up Cindy and marched over to toss her from the ring - and as they got Cindy up and over a maroon and cream colored blur flew into the frame with a ballistic crossbody that sent three bodies over the top rope to the floor.  When the wreckage cleared, Cindy Monet was on top of Bella Jolie, who was on top of Justine Danek, who unfortunately for her was on the floor. And somehow, some way, Jane Doe was on the apron doing a handstand.  (2 - Hysteria by Science Fiction Double Feature, the final elimination and their third overall)

  • 3. Science Fiction Double Feature eliminated Justine Danek and Bella Jolie of Hysteria to win a ten team battle royale and become #1 contenders to the World Tag Team championships at 16:22

  • Fire up “Elevators (Me & U)” and let the people cheer, because Science Fiction Double Feature have just broken their losing streak in a big, bad way.  They're the #1 contenders and they're going to Dia de los Muertos to try and end the Era of Hysteria.  Jane flattened herself and rolled in the ring just in time to get bear hugged by Cindy while Bonnie and Nancy hit ringside to check on Justine & Bella.  Bonnie shook her head while behind her on the ropes SFDF stood together; Cindy smiled and said that maybe there was a new best tag team in the world.  Bonnie’s face went from 0 to 100 real quick before she hissed out a “Get THEM.”; Feature got out of the ring just as all four women in Hysteria hit it.   Hysteria began to chase them up the ramp but the referee squad began making a wall in between them just as the rest of Collipark came out from the back to have their teammates” backs and raise their arms in victory.  A chyron came up for the World Tag Team championships match as both teams chirped at each other and Steve put over Collipark ending their losing streak just in time for the Fourth Anniversary Show.

  • TOTHEBACK~!, where Naomi Lee was standing by to interview Nazir el-Fadal ahead of his rematch for the World championship in tonight's main event.  The One Man Jihad crowed that he was about an hour away from regaining his World championship, which was appropriate because Ruckus began four years ago as he sought to make the World championship in his image and turn Friday nights into appointment TV.  And what better show to become a 4x World champion than Ruckus’ fourth anniversary show?  He made the belt happen, he made the show happen, and he was going to make the end of Omar's joke of a title reign happen because he was Nazir el-Fadal, Allahdamn it - known by everyone in his rabble to the corporatized (he said it tho) in the Republic as the Greatest Man Alive.  Naz took off ahead of his big match and Naomi teed up a commercial break.

  • 4. Pyotr Caviar (w/the Republic) d. “The Wonderful” Rich Ward (w/Anton Stahl and Jason “the Great” Ward) at 6:38 We came back from the break where Rich used his knowledge of his former teammate to surprise him right after the bell with a beautiful springboard cutter.  Rich went for the cover, Pyotr bench pressed him off before 2 and then proceeded to essentially press Rich into a cube.  Ward got in a couple of hope spots and went for the springboard cutter again only to get cut off by a European uppercut.  A spinning sitout powerbomb and Hit My Music gave Pyotr the win and Ig the opportunity to crow that his squad wasn't done winning tonight.

  • We returned backstage where Julius Duquesne III was caught in the midst of a College Park Family celebration.  He congratulated Jupiter Jones on returning to the roster as well as Science Fiction Double Feature on winning the massive tag team battle royale earlier.  Jones said all the clichés were true, there was no place like home…but this was about them way more than him.  Cindy Monet said that they were back and better than ever as #1 contenders, and that the World Tag Team titles would be coming back home to the ATLiens in H-Town in a couple Sundays.  Lucius Patton stepped in, saying they didn't need to wait to get their hands on Hysteria and challenged Justine Danek & Bella Jolie to face the International Players next week so that he and Benji Valentines could start breaking the spell they’d had over the tag division most of the year. They could ask the Hellraisers about them in case Team Spooky forgot what Collipark looked like when they were at full power.  Jupiter said it was old school of him, but he wasn't comfortable swinging on women like that.  They were?  Patton said he wouldn't hit no lady…but he'd drop him a witch.  A laughing JD3 threw things back to ringside and Duck Eko, who made the introductions for the next match.

  • 5. “Night Sky” Diana Spare d. Bettie Rokker (w/Val Curry) at 5:09 Now the former Women's World champion thanks to Lolo’s brass knucks at AnniVersary, the already tightly coiled Spare took that out on Rokker in a squash.  Bettie got in maybe five decent shots before Spare absolutely crowned Rokker with a pop up Michinoku driver to win the match.

  • Diana would end up having words and then a fight with the towering Curry and wound up kicking her ass too, hitting the 6’3” Curry with Nightfall to a pop almost as big as the Shieldmaiden is tall.  Spare demanded and got the mic from Duck, saying that as fun as she had kicking some ass tonight she was saving the worst beating for the rematch she was owed against Lolo and would get at Dia de los Muertos.  On the 26th, she wouldn't just get her belt back…she would be the Last Woman Standing.  Spare tossed the mic back to Duck and stomped backstage, the announcers hyping the first ever Last Woman Standing match in QCW history for the Fifteen Pounds of Gold to come at DdlM before Ruckus took its final commercial break of the night.

  • Before the Cruel Summer World title match main evented, Steve gave us hype for 💫 next week’s Ruckus 💫:: John Arneson tries to keep his winning streak going against “the Paragon” of the Chosen, Drake Tremble 💫 per earlier remarks the International Players get the match they wanted against Justine Danek and Bella Jolie of Hysteria 💫 we’ll hear from Razorblade 💫 and Malicía Fernandez and Orion are going to dive into QCW staple Pick Your Poison - whomever wins the fastest in their matches will get to pick the stipulation for their National championship match at Dia de los Muertos in a week and a half

  • Time for the main event.  We saw Naz marching through the hallways and past Commissioner Holmes at the Sweet Spot before “So Be It” by Clipse played over the PA to send a wave of cheers through the Arena.  el-Fadal went up the stairs and parted the Tron before the camera panned around him to show white and gold pyro exploding on the stage.  Naz ignored the cheering crowd, marching down the ramp with Carl saying he looked more than ready to make history & win the World title for a record setting fourth time.

  • We went from Clipse to Kendrick as “King Kunta” hit the PA and brought out the Republic in force.  They began to head down the ramp until Omar held up Ig and had a short discussion.  Ig seemed to be in shock but then called the troops over while Steve wondered if this was just mind games, but it turned out that Omar wanted to go this alone.  Pyotr Caviar, Malicía Fernandez and Republic Enforcement headed to the back while Omar and Ig made their way to the ring; Naz sat on a top turnbuckle and looked on with a dead eyed stare.  The music died down and the lights went out save for a lone spotlight over the ring so Duck could do the introductions.  Challenger Naz was introduced first; he came to the center of the ring and continued looking nonplussed while he held up four fingers - then he suddenly spun around and used them all plus the thumb to tag Omar in the face with a slap!  Naz got as far as “Do something, bit–” before Omar double legged him down to the canvas and started firing right after right on his head.  Duck wisely got the hell out of Dodge while the referee called for the bell.

  • 6. Omar Littlefield [c, w/Ig de Catur] d. Nazir el-Fadal to retain the QCW World championship at 19:38 When that referee called for the bell again it caused chaos to ring out all over Quality Arena.  Before that happened, though, we got a Match of the Year candidate between two of QCW’s best even if it did end under a cloud of controversy.  Omar looked to punish Naz for the slap after some ground and pound action before powering Naz into a corner so he could slap el-Fadal a few times.  After the fourth, Naz went forehead to forehead with the bigger man and dared him to do it again; when Omar tried it, Naz bit his hand before sending Littlefield into the corner and laying into him with a flurry of open handed chops.  Omar absorbed them all and shoved Naz across the ring after the seventh before hitting such a high octane shoulder tackle out of the corner that Naz went ass over teakettle and ended up on his stomach.  It's not as if Omar goes into these matches with some kind of secret plan, he just overwhelms whoever he's against with power and Naz ate a restaurant quality beating early on.  Steve noticed as Omar sat on Naz while he had the One Man Jihad neck first over the middle rope that FDSNF had granted them extra time tonight so with all the commercials out of the way they’d stay with this match until they got a winner.

  • The opening few minutes were less a match and more a squash for Omar.  Even when Naz landed a surprise cross chop to the throat, he foolishly tried to get Omar over in a hiptoss and got a short lariat for his troubles.  Omar dragged Naz to a corner and hit him with a Vader Bomb, then another, then piled on with a third & a fourth.  But as the announce noted, Omar wasn't trying to win the match - he was clearly out to hurt Naz on Ig’s orders.  A clearly depleted Naz rolled out of the ring while the referee started a ten count before he got the fear of Omar put in him and decided to stop halfway through.  Omar stepped between the ropes to the floor before getting a running start, then did ¾ of a lap around the ring before sending Naz flying over the announce table with.a wicked Pounce.  Steve & Carl were narrowly okay but Naz surely didn't have that in common with them as the multiple replays showed.  Now Omar was fine with the ref making a count, sure that a banged up Naz would remain on the outside.  But el-Fadal crawled and scraped his way to the ring apron before rolling in under the bottom rope before the zebra could get to 9.  Omar’s response was to drag Naz into position and hit him with another Vader bomb.   The crowd booed Omar's dominance and he mockingly booed them right back before barking “My world!  My title!”  Naz was using the ropes to pull himself up as Omar turned around and charged him, but el-Fadal saw it coming and snapped the top rope into Omar's neck.  That stunned Omar long enough for Naz to land another couple cross chops to the throat, which had Omar reeling until Naz hit a basement dropkick to the knee that ended up sending Omar draped over the middle rope with his forehead almost touching the apron.  Naz slowly climbed up the buckles of the closest corner before turning and flying off, driving both his knees into the back of Omar's head to send him to the floor.  The crowd were in full throat as Naz looked like he had a second wind even while he was holding onto his ribs.  Omar stumbled to his feet only to be unable to block a PK from Naz that sent him all the way to the floor.   The Greatest Man Alive rolled in and out to break the count, and he found a present when Omar made his way up to a knee - the big man had a thin red line of clarin over his right eyebrow that extended to his forehead.  Naz didn't have a fin on his back but he was a shark when it came to exploiting an opponent’s weakness, and he grabbed Omar's head before slamming it into the top of the steel steps again and again and again and again.  “If you can bleed him, you can beat him!” yelled out Carl in support as Naz again rolled in and out to break up the count.  Omar staggered against the dividing barrier and Naz leaped on him before raining down the rights, lefts and even biting away after landing 16 shots to the wound.  The former World champion leaned against the barrier and gathered up a handful of deep breaths before trying to muscle Omar into the ring.  Despite the nearly 80 pound disadvantage, Naz managed to pull it off…but as he tried to get in the ring himself Ig swiped at his ankles.  Naz looked at the splayed out Omar before pivoting and giving chase after de Catur, who showed off a half decent Usain Bolt impersonation on the floor a step and a half ahead of the pursuit.  Ig rolled into the ring and Naz almost caught him, but what he actually caught was a massive lariat that sent him somersaulting through the Parts Unknown sky before he turned into a snow angel on the canvas. Ig rolled out of the ring and got to his feet on the floor just in time to see Omar hoist Naz up and drill him with his notorious Face Eraser.  Omar covered Naz after connecting with his crucifix powerbomb DDT – BUT Naz became the first person to kick out of it, narrowly kicking out at 2.9.

  • The crowd went wild as Omar glared at the ref before looking at Ig as if he wanted him to fix it.  Ig was clearly heated, but told Omar to repeat it and end this.  A huffy Littlefield snatched Naz up to put the final nail in the coffin with another Face Eraser, but Naz not only managed to land on his feet - he then cinched up Omar and delivered the Hamrin Valley Driver to a massive pop.  The crowd went ballistic as the One Man Jihad staggered to his feet and made the wipeout gesture with his hands, waving on a clearly rocked Omar.  Littlefield stumbled to his feet but he wouldn't be on them long, as Naz served up a dose of Nazquil that rocked the ring.  el-Fadal went down for the cover but as the referee’s hand was coming down for a third time, the official stopped and shook his head.  Naz went bug eyed as Ig laughed and produced a briefcase from under the ring, QA awash in confusion and anger as Naz had had Omar dead to rights.  Naz grabbed the referee by the lapels, but Omar hit him with a low blow and rolled him up - and the referee’s subsequent three count barely took up a normal 2.  For the second time since winning at Cruel Summer, Nazir el-Fadal had been screwed out of the Fifteen Pounds of Gold.  Ig got in Duck’s face and demanded he name Omar the winner #ANDSTILL champion before Omar stumbled over and lifted Duck off the ground until he did.

  • The crowd booed the screwjob lustily, some even throwing wadded up programs and beers at Ig and Omar while Steve and Carl wondered what the hell had happened.  Commissioner Holmes speed walked down to the ring, causing de Catur, his world champ and his crooked referee to vault the guardrail and leave.  Holmes screamed in their direction that this wasn't over and that the referee was fired - but when Ig raised the ref’s hand while cackling, the briefcase came open and money spilled out like droplets down a waterfall.  The crooked zebra quickly scooped up the cash while Omar held up the Fifteen Pounds of Gold with one hand and a middle finger with the other.  Ruckus went off the air with Steve and Carl complaining in vain about the fast one Ig managed to pull even though he was no longer Commissioner and a fuming Naz getting repeatedly bleeped out while he swore at Holmes from down on the canvas.

Ruckus presents Black and Blue Friday • November 24, 2923

Panoramic shots of Puerto Rico’s natural beauty were interwoven with some highlights from last week's Flashpoint, including Davis and Razorblade as well as Beauty and the Beast Mode advancing in the Unified Contendership Challenge - La Flor winning the Crush championship in dominant fashion then unmasking to reveal Luz Cruz - and Karyn Tisch-Warren outlasting Cindy Monet in a best of 3 falls match to retain the Women's World championship before challenging Autumn Powers for the Unified World championship.

We got a ride on an overhead drone as it flew over Bayamon before zooming into el estadio de beisbol and tons of pyro going off.  Steve Vandeblanche and Nazir el-Fadal welcomed us to another super sized edition of Ruckus with limited commercial interruptions; this one was the biggest crowd in QCW history - the first Puerto Rico show in seven Presidents - so Steve quickly threw to Duck Eko in the ring to announce the opener…

1. 20 person Black and Blue Friday battle royal; winner gets a Unified World championship shot in the main event

Lots of small stories played out in the opening half of the battle royale - the big one was the dominance of newcomer Omar Littlefield in a battle royale full of other land monsters.  Evan O'Neill landed a couple of eliminations on the Game Changers, Jacques Krieger and Jupiter Jones brought back their rivalry with Jones going over and Krieger going over the top rope but it was Omar racking up five eliminations (including Serge Batroc - Omar didn't really differentiate between white and black hats) that had him as the through point of the 20 person melee from the beginning.

Final four came down to Omar, Pyotr Caviar, Jupiter Jones and in a mild surprise, Mr. Teknik. A bigger surprise was when Omar was the first elimination of the four, even when it took the other three men combining forces to dump him.  Down to three, the crowd was rooting for Jupiter and it looked like he was going to get the next elimination - but Caviar pulled Teknik in front of a Bolt From Olympus and laid Jupiter out before tossing Teknik to the floor.

It came down to Jupiter and Pyotr, who had about an eight minute match after the next to last elimination.  Caviar got the upper hand and tossed Jones over the top rope but the former QCW champion stayed on the apron and survived.  Once Pyotr noticed he went after Jones, and both men fought on the apron for a little bit before Jones clotheslined Caviar back into the ring.  It looked like Jupiter was going to be able to toss Caviar after a couple hard hitting moments but Caviar blocked a Bolt From Olympus and tossed Jones over the top rope –

–but Jones not only landed on the apron, he springboarded into the ring and slammed a Bolt across Pyotr 's jaw to pop the crowd huge.  It got Pyotr to just a knee, so Jupiter loaded it up and threw another Bolt that found the mark.  Caviar still didn't go all the way down, so Jones loaded up and threw another Bolt only to get snatched out of the air and dropped by Pyotr’s Hit My Music.  Not satisfied with that, Pyotr mocked the crowd before loading up a Bolt From Olympus of his own – and hitting it.  Shortly thereafter he snatched up Jones and gave him a mighty throw over the top to the floor.

Pyotr Caviar won the Black and Blue Friday battle royale in 46:55 to earn a Unified World title shot in tonight's main event

Serge came back to the ring and celebrated with his protege, sneering “You're welcome!” while Pyotr made A Very Familiar Gesture around his waist.

Adter that, Enya Face caught up to Autumn Powers backstage where she had been watching the battle royale.  Enya asked Autumn what she thought about facing Pyotr in the main event tonight for the title; Autumn said it was going to a long road to hoe but she got to be The Champ by beating a land monster so if she had to hang onto the Fifteen Pounds of Gold by beating another one then that's what she’d do.

2. #3 the End Times (w/Summer Rose) v. #2 Justice Davis & Mason “Razorblade” Savage in a UCC semifinal match

Again, while a little bit rough and ready, the white hats showed the cohesion of a tag team with 200 matches together rather than 2.  Summer Rose had to run interference to set up some Dr. Martin Williams interference from the apron to help provide an opening for her charges.  Davis ate a beating from both Dr. Williams and Danny Castle only to get saved from the Reckoning by Razorblade, who shoved Dr. Williams off the top rope and crotched him while Davis slipped off the back of Castle and made him eat the Davis Driver.  Justice crawled over and tagged out; from there the former double champion ran roughshod on the End Times before he and Justice sewed up the doomsday prophets with a combination Soul Crusher and flying double stomp.  Summer thought about coming in for a save but got stared down by Razorblade to put a stop to that.

Justice Davis and Mason “Razorblade” Savage defeated the End Times (w/Summer Rose) in 21:54 to advance to the finals of the Unified Contendership Challenge

JD3 had a backstage promo with Prince and Proper. ahead of their title defense though Katsuji Ootsuka was far more focused on the phone call he was on in the background.  The Proper Villains didn't seem to notice; both “the Fury” Jim Jaspers and “the Proper King” Richard Windsor put over the fact that they had the longest reign in Ambassadors history as well as 6fact they were currently QCW’s longest reigning champions, period.  Ootsuka walked off in the background and the Villains said they were going to follow their boy’s lead and get ready to shut up Beauty and the Beast Mode once and for all.  Cheers.

3. Luz Cruz [c] v. Veronica Vespa in a Crush championship match

Showcase match for Cruz, the newly minted champion who got a heroine's welcome befitting someone returning to her home country.  Cruz in the morning, Cruz in the evening, Cruz a little past supper time with a double jump moonsault.

Luz Cruz defeated Veronica Vespa at 5:48 to retain the Crush championship 1️⃣

Another highlight reel of great PPV moments aired, this time of Season’s Beatings to close 2022 - Nazir el-Fadal teaming with Super Avión to win the Unified World Tag Team championships and get (in his eyes) the first Grand Slam in company history - Razorblade beating Pyotr Caviar in a lumberjack match - then Commissioner Holmes changing Naz’s World title match to a falls count anywhere triple threat match on the fly with Jupiter Jones and Razorblade with Savage beating his longtime rival to regain the strap.

Prematch promo with Enya Face welcoming Beauty and the Beast Mode ahead of their matches tonight.  Both “These Hands” Roy Fade and “Dashing” Pierce Moore complained about their matches being back to back but that they’d pull off a clean sweep for the culture.  Enya asked who their third partner was going to be, but their music hit and they left the set before answering her talking about how soon they would hold every piece of tag division gold…

4. Prince and Proper [c] v. Beauty & the Beast Mode in an Ambassadors Trios championships match

Mode’s night got a hell of a lot easier when to the shock of everybody, Katsuji Ootsuka turned heel and jumped his partners during their entrance.  Ootsuka first went after “the Proper King” Richard Windsor with some knee strikes and kicks; when “the Fury” Jim Jaspers turned around to see what the crowd was reacting too he ran to save his longtime partner but Katsuji beat the brakes off of him too and headed to the back with a dead eyed glare on his face.

Mode swarmed Jaspers on the floor before tossing him into the ring and using him for a punching bag.  Windsor eventually staggered into the ring only to get immediately dropped by a Fresh To Death, then Moore tagged in Fade before they hit their finisher on Jaspers to win the trios titles…

Beauty and the Beast Mode defeated Prince and Proper in 2:36 of bell time to win the Ambassadors Trios championships

Mode scooped their newly won titles off of the referee and celebrated their win, and Moore's celebration got even better as Shelley LaVey came down the ramp.  LaVey got into the ring and sidled up to Moore, who had a quick chat with Roy Fade before handing over a title to LaVey.  Fade seemed to have some words with LaVey before she talked him into a cheerier mood.  Crowd seemed a little unsure what to make of this but knew to pop when the Wonderful Ward Brothers came out.

5. #4 Beauty and the Beast Mode (w/Shelley LaVey) v. #1 the Wonderful Ward Brothers in a UCC semifinal match

It was the top seeded Wards who got off to a hot start early, clearing Mode from the ring in the opening minutes and getting everyone in the baseball stadium fired up.  LaVey went over to provide some pointers but they didn't pay dividends until Moore countered an attempt at a familiar looking Wonder Cutter with an inverted running power slam and tagged Fade in.

These Hands took control of the match for a bit only for the brothers Ward to regain the upper hand and then even expand on their lead with a textbook Hart Attack that got them a 2 ½.

The Wards moved things to their side of the ledger then started upping their advantage.  It looked like they were going to make it an all chalk final but when they went for the Cutting Express Moore leapt back into the fray and broke it up, laying out both Wards with the Fresh To Death.  Fade tagged out a couple of beats later and Moore added one more Fresh To Death on Rich and went for the cover; Jason the Great tried to save but Fade leapt off Moore's back to wipe him out with the Decision and secure back to back wins for the Californians.

Beauty and the Beast Mode defeated the Wonderful Ward Brothers in 24:00 to advance to the finals of the Unified Contendership Challenge

Announce hyped the UCC finals coming up next week with the new Ambassadors Trios champions Beauty and the Beast Mode vs. Justice Davis and Mason “Razorblade” Savage.  Naz also got in some hype for his show with special guests International Lotus.  In addition, after what happened earlier we’ll see if Ashley “THEE Influencer” Szabo can get revenge on Omar Littlefield in one on one action.

And then it was time for the main event –

6. Autumn Powers [c] v. Pyotr Caviar (w/Serge Batroc) for the QCW Unified World championship

Cool prematch moment where they killed the klieg lights surrounding the field and the ring to focus a big spotlight during the introductions (crowd responses were what you’d expect).

Autumn rushed Pyotr at the bell and fired off a flurry of forearm shots and thigh kicks, but after running into the ropes Caviar threw Powers into the air and let her splat into the canvas.  Having withstood Autumn's early offense, Pyotr slowed down the tempo and took over by suplexing Powers around the ring much to Naz’s cackling delight on commentary.  Caviar backdropped Autumn over the top rope and followed her out to the floor…but when he went to drive The Champ into the stairs, Powers managed to crawl away and send him flying into the steel.

Autumn crawled in the ring to break up the count before running the ropes and hitting a wrecking ball dropkick.  Another one sent Pyotr into the barricade and Powers followed up with a run down the barrier compounded by a PK.   Caviar staggered backwards and eventually pulled himself into the ring only to eat a springboard dropkick.  It was Powers’ turn for the upper hand and she kept it longer than she did at the beginning of the match.  The crowd cheered her on for the next few minutes - right until another springboard dropkick attempt got knocked out of the sky with a massive Russian sickle.

Replays of Pyotr folding Powers like a K/5 off suit played for a bit before Caviar let out a yell and got back to work.  Pyotr presses his advantage the rest of the way and racked up nearly a dozen near falls as he wore Autumn down, but after she got her foot on the ropes after eating a short range sickle, he tossed her out of the ring.

Caviar hit Autumn with a Hit My Music on the floor, then rolled in and out of the ring to break up the count.  Him sweeping the announce table free of monitors sent Steve and Naz into the front row, and Caviar interrupted the count again before he snatched Autumn up and sent her through the announce table with a second Hit My Music that sent the table into sections.

Caviar smiled as he delicately plucked Autumn from the wreckage and threw her over his shoulder.  The Tracksuit Tsar walked up the stairs and unceremoniously dumped Powers into the ring, stepping into the ring at 9.

It looked like Caviar was going to go for a third Hit My Music but Powers' body flumped to the canvas.  Caviar barked at the referee before gesturing towards Autumn's body - the referee checked on Autumn and didn't call things off, so Pyotr grabbed her to finish things off but Autumn went limp again.  Pyotr shook his head and nudged Autumn with his boot before putting the finishing touches on his first singles title.

Except for the part where Autumn yanked him down into an inside cradle and kept him down for 3.1 seconds.

…wait, what?!

Autumn Powers beat Pyotr Caviar in 29:46 to retain the Unified World championship

I could read Pyotr's lips after he sat up in shock, and he was not praying.  Autumn had used her veteran savvy to not only survive but outthink the big Ruskie, and the “Autumn!” chants rained down across the stadium.  The referee settled the Fifteen Pounds of Gold across her stomach and raised her limp hand before fleeing the ring.  Pyotr was hot on the zebra’s heels and it looked like a nature documentary was about to break out as the helpless referee ran towards the back with an incensed Caviar almost able to catch him.

Autumn slowly got to her feet, almost dropping the title before slowly lifting it overhead to cheers and then boos.  The boos decended pretty heavily because into the nature documentary came the vultures of International Lotus to lay out Autumn from behind.

The crowd jeered Karyn Tisch-Warren and Sohla Patel, but the one thing they couldn't do was stop them - Sohla dropped Autumn with the Ninth Incarnation before Karyn stopped screeching that Autumn wasn't going to ignore her.  Tisch-Warren locked Autumn up with a Circuit Breaker while Sohla kept kicking Powers in the ribs.

Quality Force security came pouring out of the dugout and hit the ring, Karyn refusing to let go of the hold until a few QFSers pulled her off of Autumn.  The crowd booed and the volume only increased when the Women's World champion snatched up the Unified World championship and lifted it over her head while smack talking the barely conscious Autumn.  The credits box came up and literally Karyn took every second until things faded to black to tell Autumn that at QCW 25 she was going to take Autumn's title and be the first to add the Unified World title to the Women's World championship.

GRPL+ Presents QCW Ruckus [s3e4 • November 3, 2023]

LAST WEEK ON RUCKUS

  • Newcomer Justice Davis continued his hot streak by getting the pinfall in an eight man main event tag

  • Commissioner Holmes announced the return of the Unified Contendership Challenge with the elimination round kicking things off tonight

  • Autumn Powers celebrated becoming the new Unified World champion but got a little upstaged by new Women's World champion and still reigning Crush champion Karyn Tisch-Warren

Once they rolled out the open, we zoomed into Quality Arena where the pyro was popping and the Controllers were loud.  Alongside Nazir el-Fadal, Steve Vandeblanche welcomed us to Ruckus before hyping that we'd get a ten tag team battle royale that would shape the Unified Contendership Challenge that would start next week.

But this week's Ruckus would begin the same way that last week's Ruckus did - with the first ever double champion in women's division history putting up one of her titles against a luchadora and rising star in the division.

Duck Eko was in the ring to announce the first match of the night, scheduled for one fall with a 15 minute time limit and it was for the Crush championship!  Bad Bunny brought out luchadora La Flor to a decent reaction, and GRPL+ Helpfully Reminded Us That a couple nights ago she didn't need too much time to go over Midsomar on Unleashed and finish off her opposition then with an impressive double jump moonsault.  But she was going from the shallow end of the talent pool to the deepest water so far as QCW's women's division was concerned.

The annoying "Roar" brought out the equally annoying Karyn Tisch-Warren alongside the rest of International Lotus.  Out to defend her Crush championship, the Women's World champion marched out to the ring with focus, letting her husband Scott Warren-Tisch and her tag partner/business consigliere Sohla Patel hype her up to the camera and try to silence the booing hordes of the Quality Arena.

Once the bell rang, La Flor didn't hesitate to go on the attack much to the joy of the Quality Controllers.  Flor got off to a hot start and dropped Tisch-Warren before throwing down a couple of flash elbows to the sternum.  Karyn tried again to get in a shot or two only to eat a Stun Gun.  The notorious KTW bailed out to the floor to buy herself some time, but when she got her legs underneath her enough to stand Flor was flying from the ring off the top rope with a picture perfect Steamboat press that popped the crowd even more.

Flor stood on the stairs and revved them up a little more before going back to Karyn, who immediately blinded her with a face rake before delivering a drop toe hold that sent the luchadora neck first into the ring apron.  The crowd deflated as Karyn let a sly grin creep over her face before she cinched up La Flor and snap suplexed her onto the mats on the floor.  Tisch-Warren grabbed her challenger and tossed her into the ring before following in and locking down the Circuit Breaker - but Flor quickly scrambled to the ropes to get the hold broken up.

Karyn looked peeved that the match wasn't already over and proved it by slapping La Flor right after the high flyer stood up.  Flor responded by bullrushing her into the nearest corner before slapping the double champion right back.  When Karyn fell to the mat, Flor immediately uncorked a mudhole stomping on her that excited the crowd and had her almost break the ref's five count a couple of times.  La Flor got a quick two count on Karyn before throwing her back down to the mat and ascending herself to hit a spectacular double jump moonsault.  Flor hooked the leg on her cover, but Karyn shot up a shoulder at 2 ½.

Tisch-Warren staggered to her feet only to get caught in a flying guillotine by La Flor, who cranked back on the hold as the rest of Lotus looked increasingly shocked and worried on the outside.  Karyn landed some body blows on her slightly smaller opponent before pivoting her body weight to cinch up La Flor and hit her with a buckle bomb.  KTW ran into the ropes before flying off with a leg lariat that laid out La Flor.  Karyn made a cover that gained her a two count, then when Flor kicked out she grabbed a leg and went to work.  Soon thereafter she reapplied the Circuit Breaker, but despite the pressure from the elevated Texas Cloverleaf La Flor managed to crawl for and get the ropes to a big pop from the crowd.

Furious, Karyn executed a snapmare before teeing off on Flor's back with a series of PKs that had the luchadora screaming out in pain.  KTW hoisted up Flor after the kicks and hit her with Spare Me (a powerbomb backbreaker) before covering and hooking both legs - so you can imagine the pop and Karyn's frustration when La Flor wriggled free at 2 ¾.  While Karyn complained again to the referee, La Flor rolled out of the ring herself.  After some parting words Karyn pivoted and got a running start before wiping out La Flor with a tope suicida that found the mark.  Tisch-Warren glared at the jeering crowd before looking over at her cronies cheering her on.  KTW tried to throw La Flor in the ring but soon found herself reversed into the ring with a shocked look on her face.

La Flor was slow to get back in the ring and Karyn made her pay for it, body blocking her from the apron to the barricade.  Karyn rolled out under the bottom rope and told the rest of Lotus "I got this"; unfortunately for La Flor this turned out to be the case as Tisch-Warren powerbombed her into the barricade (!) with authority, even drawing some "Holy shit!" chants from the crowd and just a shade shy of that from Steve and Naz on commentary.  Karyn picked up a limp La Flor and tossed her back in the ring between the middle and bottom rope before reentering herself and locking La Flor into a Circuit Breaker.  After a few short seconds La Flor weakly tapped out to the disappointment of the crowd.  Always nice to get the show started with a dope match.  ***

| • Karyn Tisch-Warren [c, w/International Lotus] ds. La Flor to retain the Crush championship • |

After replays, Scott put over the fight La Flor brought to the opener and Naz shot that down to an extent, saying that the focus should be on the winner and the double champion Karyn Tisch-Warren.  Scott and Sohla each put a belt on a shoulder of Karyn's before they left the ring smiling and Tisch-Warren said some sarcastic bye-byes to La Flor on her way to the back.

A video package played after Karyn's successful title defense, featuring a barrage of modern footage - riots, collapsing ice shelves, screaming QCW fans, more of man's inhumanity to man, screaming QCW fans - with a sepia tone over it.  A voice wondered how we could be celebrating when the world was ending, how we could celebrate QCW when it was baptized in filth and unholiness.  Someone had to take on all their sins.  Someone had to show them the path by walking it.  And someone had to save QCW from itself and by showing that to the world, maybe save the world.  But none of that redemption could happen until they all learned how to REPENT.  Repent was in large sepia cursive, except for the second where an interlocking W and G flashed upon the screen.

| • Omar Littlefield d. "Swamp Pride" Ted Holland • | Last week, Holland notched a hard fought victory over his former tag team partner Bobby Bash, and going up against another similar sized opponent in the newcomer Littlefield it was fair to wonder going in if the newly christened Swamp Pride could pull off another come from behind victory.

That did not happen; that did not come remotely close to happening.  Omar put on what's usually called a showcase but was far more of a statement than that.  Littlefield rocked Ted towards the end with (count 'em) five Vader Bombs before he put Holland down for good with a crucifix powerbomb DDT he calls the Face Eraser.  **

After replays, we went back to the ring where Omar demanded and quickly got the mic from Duck Eko.  Littlefield tapped it a couple of times before introducing himself and cutting a promo.

Omar said that he had barely been in QCW a hot minute but all he saw was victims and future victims.  He knew - he could feel all the whispers and talk behind his back about his face.  Unfortunately for them, they were going to see his face a lot more often.  He was going to rack up more victims, maybe a victim for every time he heard the word freak, and nobody and nothing would stop Omar Littlefield from leaving QCW with a scar.   Omar tossed the mic to Duck before leaving to "Fight Music", both members of the announce team wondering what victim would be next for the menacing newcomer before Steve teed up the night's first big commercial break.

| • Fiona Fogg and Mean Season d. the Sound of Thunder and Veronica Vespa • | Ruckus rolled on with even more women's division action, a six woman tag with former friends turned enemies Mean Season and the Sound of Thunder getting a partner to try to establish dominance in their months long rivalry.

Ironically enough, the Sound of Thunder got along better with Vespa than Season did with Fogg.  This led to Naz stirring the pot on commentary, saying that while Autumn Powers was the alleged top of the food chain in QCW she was sure being a crappy friend to her…well, he couldn't even call them her sidekicks if they weren't even by her side, could he?  While the Sound of Thunder continued working over Winter and took out Gaia on the floor, it left Fiona as the last woman standing on her squad; when Bettie Rokker's springboard dropkick accidentally flew into her partner Val Curry, Winter had no choice but to tag Fogg in.

Fiona evened the odds and got the jump on the opposition, even at one point managing to hit a simultaneous DDT on Rokker and neckbreaker on Vespa.  Fogg continued to dominate and looked to have Rokker set up for her finisher when Gaia blind tagged herself in, cinched Bettie from Fiona’s shoulders and hit her with an avalanche powerslam that got the white hats the W.  **

After the match there was obviously some dissension between Fogg & Season, but they all got their hands raised before leaving separately.  We’ll see what, if anything, comes from this in the shows to come.

We got a video package highlighting another great QCW PPV from the past, this time going back two and a half years to Mayday Payday 2021: Commissioner Holmes announcing the imminent debut of a weekly show called Ruckus - Mean Season finally triumphant over the Storybookers in WarGames - and Naz beating Jupiter Jones to win the QCW title all got some time in this one.  Like a similar segment last week, stills of all three moments flickered at the end with the letters X, X and V superimposed over them before we went back to the Arena.

No sooner had Evan O'Neill parted the Qualitron then he asked the jabrones in the truck to cut his music so that he could cut the crap.  Last week he came out here to deliver the truth to the handful of people in this Arena who could hear his words for the gospel that they are, only to get blindsided and accosted by Carpenter.  He didn't tap out because of the pain, he did it so he could get out of this backwards ass town just that little bit faster.  But he was back to be a QCW legend – forget that, the QCW legend.  So forget the Carpenters of the world! If a place like QCW could even make a legend, bring them on so they could come face to fist with the truth.

When "B.O.B." hit the PA, the truth was that Evan O'Neill was going to find out in short order exactly what a QCW legend looked and fought like…

| • Jupiter Jones d. Evan O'Neill • | Well, it's November and squash is in season.  O'Neill got in all of an eye poke before running the ropes and into a pop up powerslam.  A Bolt From Olympus later and the truth was Jupiter Jones is Jupiter Jones and Evan O'Neill isn't, at least not yet.  DUD

Jupiter left the ring to the cheers of the crowd while the ref checked on Evan;  Steve put over Jupiter as an all-time great, which set off Naz as you might expect, and they argued for a bit until it was time for commercials.

The back end of Ruckus began with, all things, Fur Elise and the introduction of another newcomer to QCW, a preppy intellectual named - no bullshit - Broderick Palmer II, aka "Upper Class".  A Yale graduate with QCW in his blood (his cousin Adam being a former tag team champion) and obviously far superior to anyone in the stands or in the back, he'd prove he provided pro wrestling par excellence when he won a major championship in his sterling QCW debut.  "So bring out this…Reginald, was it?  Come forth, Reginald, so that the Class of QCW can begin to elevate this institution as Television's Champion."

So on the heels of that, out came "Superfine " Reggie Strong to a pop and Sade with the World TV title shining around his waist.

| • "Superfine" Reggie Strong [c] d. "Upper Class" Broderick Palmer II to retain the GRPL+ World Television championship 2️⃣ • | Palmer II put on a good showing eventually but the opening beats of the match proved Strong either the equal or better of the new arrival culminating in Reggie dropping Broderick with a rebound lariat.  Palmer spun through the air before splattering on the canvas and Strong used the top rope as his personal hammock in the corner.

It looked like Strong was on an unstoppable roll and was about to move things towards the endgame when Palmer blocked the champion's attempt at his signature Strong Style suplex; even worse for Reggie, Palmer matadored him into shouldering the ring post and followed up with a falling inverted DDT that got him a two count.

Upper Class put some heat on Reggie over the next few moments and sent him between the ropes to the floor.  But when he went for a cannonball off the apron, Strong avoided it by leaping up to the apron himself and the debuting Broderick went splat against the floor mats.  Strong added injury to injury by getting a running start from the apron to frog splash BP2 on the floor, and the rest of the fight was Strong’s from there.   Reggie broke the newbie down once things got back in the ring, using another new move of his - the Superfine Stomp - to set up his Ol’ Faithful, the Fine and Dandy spinning Michinoku Driver to get the three count.  ** 1/2

But when the bell rang, there was Beartooth's "Hated" instead of Sade on the PA.  Reggie looked around the Arena but found who he was looking for on the Qualitron 9004 - the former World Television champion Jacques Krieger and his fixer S. Mark Starr.

Starr sneered that Strong got a cute little win against a guy who'd been here for five minutes, but he better not lose sight of the big picture - after the debacle that went down on Devil's Night it was only a matter of time until his client gets his contractually obligated rematch and once he did, it was going to be midnight on Reggie's little Cinderella story and Starr would be accompanying the three time World TV champion to the ring.  They blipped off screen to boos, leaving Strong to fume in the ring while slapping the front plate of the G+ World TV championship.  Even when Sade came back on the PA, the usually cheery Strong was clearly quiety fuming right up until Steve sent us into another round of commercials.

When we came back from the break Steve was conducting the hype train for some of the action to come on next week's QCW TV:

⌨️ Unleashed will have the imposing Omar Littlefield in action as well as the Wonderful Ward Brothers facing off against Drake Tremble and Bobby Bash ⌨️

💫 "Superfine" Reggie Strong will make another defense of the World TV title 💫

💫 Likewise, Karyn Tisch-Warren will continue her Crush championship reign even as she holds the Women's World championship 💫

💫 And the Unified Contendership Challenge will have two first round matches  - but in order to find out what teams are going to be facing off we need to get to

| • the main event • |

As the entrances of the teams were happening, Steve went over the rules: 20 men in 10 teams to start the battle royale.

The first two eliminations would cut two teams out of the Challenge entirely and then the remaining teams would be in a double elimination battle royale where a team wouldn't be eliminated until both members were - then the seeds for the tournament next week would be determined by how fast a full team was eliminated, with the final survivor (or survivors, should a lucky team pull it off) earning the #1 seed for their squad.

With QCW's entire referee squad on various parts of the outside of the ring to monitor eliminations, the bell rang and the clubberin' commenced.  Steve put over how crucial the first two eliminations would be; within a couple of moments of him saying that, one of the fights that had been on since the bell rang got decided conclusively, and not in a way the Quality Controllers liked.

The Hard Way were eliminated from the Battle Royale and the Unified Contendership Challenge

Once again, the former tag champs had found themselves victims of the End Times and you could see the body language of Fifita and Goodish as they made the Frustrated Hulk walks to the back, even ignoring the fans trying to high five them on the aisle.

The fighting ramped up a little bit more with every team trying not to miss the tournament.  There was a hoss skirmish between A World of Pain and Bobby Bash, with some of the other participants trying to take advantage and toss them only to get sent flying into midring instead.  Drake Tremble ran to Bash's rescue, only to have multiple people help AWOP and send him flying into Bash, who hung onto his mentor but started teetering - the next to last thing you want to do in a battle royale like this.

Justice Davis and Mason Razorblade Savage introduced them to the worst one when they got underneath Bash and tossed both he and Drake out to the floor.

Bobby Bash and Drake Tremble were eliminated from the Battle Royale and the Unified Contendership Challenge

Bash stared hard at Tremble on the floor before pulling him to his feet - but once he did that, he left Tremble to his complaining and headed to the back.  That didn't stop the Voice of Freedom from chasing after his only meal ticket all the way up the ramp, leaving the 8 teams in the Challenge to duke it out for seed supremacy.

It didn't take long before the 8th seed was set in stone, as half of the competitors went after the second biggest man in the battle royale, Bob Osterberg while the other half went after his partner and the biggest man in, Dom DeSade.  In both cases 7 beat 1, and then there were seven teams left.

A World of Pain was eliminated, capturing the #8 seed in the Unified Contendership Challenge

Once the biggest men had been turfed from the ring, a bunch of individual and team fights broke out to the surprise of nobody.   The fighting was broken up by a hot run by Justice Davis, who uncorked a string of four straight Davis Drivers on various opponents right up until Gerry Greene caught him with a low blow.  (It's a battle royale, so it's a pretty lawless environment.) Ian Cook goozled Davis before chokeslamming him into the apron, and to the surprise of everyone Davis sluiced off the hardest part of the ring down to the floor.

Justice Davis was eliminated by Ian Cook.

It didn't take long for Justice's partner to enact his revenge on the big Brit.

Ian Cook was eliminated by Razorblade.

On the other side of the ring, Roy Fade and Pierce Moore were using their teamwork to cull the herd around them, dropping both members of the International Players before gaining a decisive upper hand in the fight against the tag team representing the College Park Family…

Benjamin Valentino was eliminated by Beauty and the Beast Mode.

…and they weren't done there, either.

Gerry Greene was eliminated by Beauty and the Beast Mode; Greene and Ian Cook are the #7 seed in the Unified Contendership Challenge.

The field was now cut in half, and Beauty and the Beast Mode were still in hunting mode.  But while they were trying to rack up even more eliminations another team was starting to get on the board themselves: the former Unified World Tag Team champions the Wonderful Ward Brothers.  Rich made a save for his brother Jason, and then they teamed up for a double dropkick that sent the Tiki God off the second rope to the floor with no inner strength to continue on in the battle royale.

"Tiki God" Al Buffett was eliminated by the Wonderful Ward Brothers.

The End Times jumped the Wards from behind but the Wards fought back with all four hands to get the upper hand on the doomsday preppers, Rich and Jason out for revenge on the men who threw them off the stage a couple of months ago.  They'd get a measure of it here, too.

Dr. Martin Williams was eliminated by the Wonderful Ward Brothers.

And when Pierce Moore tried to interrupt the proceedings with a familiar looking cutter, Rich shoved him off in Jason's direction to eat a Wonder Cutter and get tossed from the ring.

"Dashing" Pierce Moore was eliminated by Jason "the Great" Ward.

But without the help of his brother, the rest of the ring quickly coalesced to take out the latest threat to the top seed and bundled him up and over the top rope.

Rich Ward was eliminated by the ring.

Jason was tossed over when he turned to react, and then the five remaining fighters went to work on each other.  Naz noted on commentary that since it had been some time since a whole team had been eliminated, every single elimination that remained would determine the bulk of the seeding for the Challenge.

When the fighting rolled on it was Razorblade who got the upper hand on everyone else – right before everyone else went after the former double champion and tried to eliminate him.   Of course, in moments of chaos there's opportunity, and Roy Fade knew one when he saw one –

Ashley "THEE Influencer" Szabo was eliminated; by Roy Fade; the Game Changers are the #6 seed in the Unified Contendership Challenge.

–but why stop at one when you can ruin two rivals' nights within a little over a minute?  First These Hands turfed the Game Changers, and then after dodging a couple of attacks from the competition he went up a level, hitting Razorblade, then Danny Castle, then Lucius Patton with the Decision and tossing Patton to further thin the herd.

Lucius Patton was eliminated by Roy Fade; the International Players are the #5 seed in the Unified Contendership Challenge.

Fade was rolling, having been at least partially responsible for five of the eliminations in the battle royale, but given past history he didn't care about eliminating Danny Castle from the proceedings as much as he did Razorblade.  A sick grin spread over his face as he lined up Mason Savage for the Decision before charging forward…but the former Unified World champion not only caught him, he drilled him into the mat with a sit out powerbomb that fried all of Fade's circuits.  Once Roy staggered up from that, Razorblade was there to escort him out of the ring with a clothesline.

Roy Fade was eliminated by Mason "Razorblade" Savage; Beauty and the Beast Mode are the #4 seed in the Unified Contendership Challenge.

So it came down to former tag champ Danny Castle of the End Times and former World and World TV champ Razorblade.  Castle started off well, but eventually Mason was too much to handle for Castle, who ended up shouldering a ring post when Razorblade dodged his corner charge.  Savage peeled him away from the corner and then tossed him over the top rope as the Quality Controllers roared their approval.   Razorblade stepped up to the second turnbuckle and encouraged the cheers, and it was the sort of moment that everybody loved; hell, Jason Ward loved it so much he dropkicked Savage from behind to send him into the ring post and down to the floor.

…wait, what?

It took a couple of minutes and a boatload of replays to get a conclusive ending to the battle royale, but see what had happened was this:

Rich Ward got eliminated a while ago, for sure.  But when Razorblade provided the final push to "eliminate" Jason the Great, only one of his feet landed on the floor – the other landed on Rich.  The referees on that side of the ring kept watch on it as Rich scurried towards the stairs while Jason kept his balance on his brother before pulling up to the stairs and sitting on the middle one.  And with everyone else too busy fighting, Jason sat in wait to strike, making sure the rest of the field took each other out before reasserting himself at the last and best possible time before he struck.

And since he did…

Danny Castle was eliminated by Mason "Razorblade" Savage; the End Times are the #3 seed in the Unified Contendership Challenge.

Mason "Razorblade" Savage was eliminated by Jason "the Great" Ward; Savage and Justice Davis are the #2 seed in the Unified Contendership Challenge.

| • Jason "the Great" Ward was the last survivor of a 20 man battle royale to give the Wonderful Ward Brothers the #1 seed in the Unified Contendership Challenge • |

Both Castle and Savage looked pissed from the floor, and there were pockets of the audience who weren't in love with it, either; despite that, Jason got a decent pop for winning and a bigger one when Rich ran down the aisle and slid in the ring before tackling his little brother and rolling around the ring with him playfully.  While Danny Castle left through the concourse, Razorblade got to his feet and shook his head before giving the Wards a small smile and a threat/possible spoiler: this ain't over, fellas.

But as he made his way to the back, "We Made It" hit the PA and the Hot Topic enthusiasts in the crowd shrieked loudly; the Wonderful Ward Brothers had secured the #1 seed in the Unified Contendership Challenge with some brotherly teamwork and quick thinking from Jason.  Steve noted as the credits box came up that maybe the answer to Team Batroc had been staring everyone in the face the whole time but maybe it took Jason's win to rerealize that.   Catch you next Friday for the beginning of the UCC and the fastest two hours in wrestling for another episode of Ruckus!
