FDSN Florida Presents QCW Ruckus [s4e36 • August 1st, 2025]

• A video package opened the show recapping the big events from last week, most notably Ig crowing about having the World and National championships in his personal army and Naz landing a Greetings From Hayt Corner shot on Omar Littlefield before fleeing through the crowd.  It ended with a voiceover asking what would happen next on the road to AnniVersary in September…

• Standard open rolled from there, and once we were inside a rocking Quality Arena, Steve Vandeblanche hyped up the Omar vs. Ashok World championship match main eventing tonight's show before throwing things to Duck Eko in the ring.  The Voice of QCW made the introductions for the opener.  

• 1.  “Her Excellency” Fiona Fogg d. Jane Doe (w/Cindy Monet) at 8:32 via submission Last week Fogg beat up Doe while she was at ringside, leading to a Monet loss.  Even with her technical skills, Fogg couldn't solve the puzzle of Doe’s unorthodox offense in the opening moments of the bout and found herself on the outside cursing and cooling her heels.  Doe sat on the middle rope to allow Fiona back into the ring, a mistake Her Excellency capitalized on with a cheap shot followed by a vicious neckbreaker across the apron that left the ATLien in a crumpled heap on the floor.  With a target acquired, the increasingly haughty Fogg emptied her offensive clip to target Jane’s neck and hit her marks far more often than not.  Doe managed a brief comeback but Fogg shut it down with a tornado reverse DDT.  Shortly thereafter, Fogg landed her Crowning Achievement combination and Doe limply tapped out to the Koji Clutch.

• But Fogg didn't let go of the hold after getting the win, which drew Monet into the ring to forcibly drag Fiona off of her tag partner.  Fogg acted like she was cowed but it was a ruse as Sohla Patel slid into the ring and laid out Cindy from behind.  The black hats stomped Science Fiction Double Feature down before Sohla demanded the mic from Duck.  Patel proudly declared that after months of being forced to sit through losers like Cindy and Jane, the Sohla Search was over.  She asked the crowd to raise their ugly faces up and gaze up on the newest face of International Lotus: “Her Excellency” Fiona Fogg!  They raised each other's hands like they were running for office while the crowd jeered before leaving SFDF laid out in the ring.

• Ahead of the night's first commercial break, Muse’s “New Born” brought out the perennially loved Game Changers to their usually good reaction - the Tiki God looks to put a W in aloha up next…

• 2. “the Righteous” Justice Davis (w/the Chosen) d. “Tiki God” Al Buffett (w/Ashley “THEE Influencer” Szabo) at 7:05 This is Davis’ first match since being forced to join up with the Chosen, and as they came out a picture in picture showed some of JD’s “rebirth ceremony” last week that looked closer to low level waterboarding than a baptism.  It was little surprise then that Al would be the one to come out of the gates hot, using his surprising strength to throw JD across the ring several times with suplexes.  A few minutes in, Al scored with a running Codebreaker that sent Davis through the middle and bottom ropes on the recoil.  The Chosen swarmed around the new recruit, only for Goody to scream “Run!” a couple of seconds later; a second and a half after that Justice pulled a matador move and Al’s tope suicida met nothing but the dividing barrier much to the concern of Ashley from around the corner and relief from the current Duquesne Cup holder.  The Chosen again closed ranks but as Ashley was coming around to that side of the ring Justice waved everybody down and got Al back in the ring.  Justice didn't fight unfairly but a lot of his offense caught Al on the head or the neck, leading to applause and cheers from the Chosen.  Al managed a brief rally, but when he went for Inner Strength a wild Goody Gardner appeared.  That got Ashley up on the apron opposite and it looked like Drake Tremble was rolling into the ring…needless to say all these distractions distracted Al, and JD caught the Tiki God with an avalanche armdrag that sent him ¾ths of the way across the ring while Tremble rolled out.  Al staggered to his feet only to eat a weapons grade Busiaku knee that put him down for three.

• After replays, we saw Ashley protectively over a still laid out and barely moving Al.  Davis started to go over to check on Buffett when the Chosen hit the ring and swarmed Davis in joy - Drake making sure Ashley heard it when he complimented Justice on knocking Al out.  The End Times held the ropes open and after a few beats JD reluctantly left with the group; Goody Gardner was talking up Justice even more than Drake was all the way to the back.  By that time a semi recovered Al was watching the proceedings while leaning on the top rope holding his jaw.  The scowl on Ashley's face almost blinded someone in the seventeenth row.

• Once the Game Changers cleared out “you should see me in a crown” by Billie Eilish brought out “Night Sky” Diana Spare to a big pop from the Quality Controllers.  The Women's World champion was heading to the ring to cut a promo but she couldn't get off a word before she was jumped from behind by Beast Mode.  Spare fought against “These Hands” Roy Fade and “Dashing” Pierce Moore but the numbers advantage held up especially after they lawn darted her into the retaining wall.  Music kicked back on and this time it was “Paint the Town Red” by Doja Cat, allowing Lolo Vuitton to strut down the ramp like it was a runway before getting a running start and hitting a modified Bloody Shoe on Spare that sent The Champ flying into the stairs.  After some smack talk Vuitton asked her squad to put her up on their manly shoulders and they headed to the back in that formation while the medical team came to check on Spare.

• 3. Bonnie Agrippa and Nancy Crowley of Hysteria (w/Justine Danek and Bella Jolie) d. “Swamp Pride” Ted Holland and Robert E. Moonshine at 5:10 in a non titles match The World Tag Team champions kept themselves in fighting shape by easily disposing of the wild eyed Southern boys.  Justine and Bella didn't even need to interfere in the romp that ended after a spike brainbuster and Nancy pinning Moonshine.  After the match, with Hysteria behind her Agtippa held up her title to a camera and had a very simple message for anyone listening: “Best.  Tag team.  In the world.” Agrippa snapped her fingers to kill the lights; when they came back on Hysteria had disappeared in the darkness as they love to do.   Ruckus went to commercials after that.

• We came back from the break to Steve at the desk, who mentioned he was being beamed live throughout Quality Arena given that he was about to do a split screen satellite interview with the One Man Jihad, Nazir el-Fadal!  Big cheers accompanied Naz popping up on screen apparently live from Atlanta at his house, and a clearly seething el-Fadal sort of waved down the cheers before Steve started.  Vandeblanche couldn't get a full question in before Naz went off, saying he was a former three-time World champion that’d somehow never clearly lost that belt once, and it took less and less time each time for some 6F (that's a swear) to steal it away from him.  After two years of trying, he not only got back the World title but he beat the unbeatable Razorblade twice in one night in an instant classic that wasn't just going to win Match of the Year, it was going to go down in history as the best match QCW had ever or will ever see.  And minutes later because he wouldn't tapdance for a douchelord nepo baby, it got stolen away from him by a man who - last time Naz had seen him - was getting driven off in an ambulance that Naz had put him in back in the spring.  So if his prior acts of revenge were tossing the belt at AnIIversary the moment he got it back and living up to every promise he made by winning 2-1 at Cruel Summer, then the Republic didn't really get just how far he was willing to go to get his revenge on them.  He’d find some way to get Ig kicked out of his ivory tower and once that happened he’d get his rematch and male history as the first ever four time QCW World champion.  Ig may have been able to make him stay home tonight, but all he could do was keep his head on a swivel a while longer before Naz knocked it off his twerpy shoulders.  He’d run Malicia back to Mexico if he had to - he’d get Omar locked up all over again if he had to - and Ig wouldn't just get run out of QCW, he’d be begging for pocket change on a street corner before this jihad season had come to an end.  And then they would learn the hard way that time in QCW ran off of his Richard Mille because he wasn't some corporatized sellout or even above average, neh!  He was Nazir el-Fadal, the Greatest Man Alive…and now he was out for even more blood.  Naz’s part of the convo blipped off to cheers from the Quality Controllers that only died down when Duck Eko returned to the ring to make the intros for the next match.  

• 4. Luz Cruz d. Bettie Rokker (w/Val Curry) at 6:11 A bounce back showcase win for Cruz after she narrowly lost in her bid to win the Women's World championship at Cruel Summer a couple of Sundays ago.  Luz shut Bettie up with a dropkick you could hang in the Louvre and ended things with her double jump poison rana to get the duke.

• At the desk afterwards, Steve said that thanks to another of Commissioner de Catur’s deals, QCW had received financial and promotional considerations to air the following; it turned out to be a decently sized sizzle reel of Catch Hell Wrestling League’s (QCW’s sister company based in the UK) tag team champions the Undaunted.  Proud Irishmen Tim “the Only Hope” McMurray and “Unforgettable” Dave Mullin made friends in a Malahide grade school over their love of wrestling, started training together at age 15 and went from skinny jamokes to slightly heavier and more importantly tag team champions who’ve won Europe over with their high flying ways and regular bloke mentality on the mic.  Some have even called Tim and Dave the best tag team in the world.  They're not gonna call themselves that – but if the compliment fits - well, there's the rest of the pack.  But some remain Undaunted.

• 5. Beast Mode (w/Lolo Vuitton) d. The International Players (w/Science Fiction Double Feature) at 8:25 This was a rematch from Cruel Summer’s preshow that got a few more chilies thrown in the pot last week when Mode jumped Collipark in the back last week after a Cindy Monet loss.  But despite an auspicious beginning like Jane Doe enjoyed in the opener, things began to curdle when they got suckered into a Pier 4 on the floor and lost it decisively due to Mode’s willingness to fight dirty and “These Hands” Roy Fade’s Golden Glove level fists.  Right before a commercial break, Benjamin Valentino ate a double flapjack that sent him bouncing off the facade of the announce table and Beast Mode spent the rest of the match isolating him and breaking him down.  Lucius Patton couldn't make the save after Valentino ate a Dashing Decision that gave Mode another W that they celebrated post match, leaving an increasingly despondent Collipark trying to put the pieces together post match. 

• A cut to the Commissioner's skybox showed him sneering that Collipark was lucky that he didn't fire the rest of them too before telling Quality Force Security to go down to ringside and flank Omar so that there wasn't a repeat of last week's incident with Naz.  He also made sure to remind them to check under the ring – you know, for “safety reasons” and put in an order to get champagne delivered to the skybox after Omar retained the Fifteen Pounds of Gold.

• A vignette aired announcing that coming soon to QCW’s shores would be Jonathan Livingston Clipper Esq, a man who can handle a sailboat and doesn't think Sherlock Holmes when Baker Street comes up in conversation.   JLCE will be seeing us oh so very soon.

• Ahead of the World title defense in tonight's main event, Steve hyped up three big matches that'll happen on 💫 next week's Ruckus 💫: two heavyweights are going to be throwing bombs when Pyotr Caviar faces off against Jacques Krieger | longtime rivals “the Fury” Jim Jaspers and Prince Ootsuka will meet in another hard hitting fight | and Caleb Gray and Drake Tremble of the Chosen will face off against the Game Changers

• But those are next week's bouts, and the one for the World title is happening now…

• 6. Omar Littlefield [c, w/Malicía Fernandez and Quality Force Security] d. Ashok Banjerjee (w/Jacques Krieger) to retain the QCW World championship at 9:54 Of note before the match: (1) Krieger was out in a neck brace after the beating Omar put on him at Cruel Summer and (2) despite being flanked by Malicía and QFS, Littlefield still had a decent sized bandage on his forehead from where Naz had buried Greetings From Hayt Corner at the end of last weeks show.  After the introductions were made things got underway with Ashok playing David to Omar's Goliath, landing brief flurries of offense before quickly getting out of Omar's wingspan.  Like most things in life, this worked until it didn't when The Champ caught Ashok springboarding off the middle rope at him and responded with a sit out two handed choke bomb that Steve said rattled his teeth at the desk.  Omar showed off his power moves and sadism from there for a few minutes until a basement dropkick to his knee sent him flying face first into the middle turnbuckle and gave Ashok a little bit of daylight to operate in.  Banjerjee emptied a barrage of European uppercuts until Omar wobbled, then hit a springboard one that out Littlefield down to a knee.  Ashok hit the ropes and landed a Destroyer DDT – and Omar stood up, glared, and gave him a lariat that almost put poor Ashok’s head in Ig’s skybox.  What little remained of the match was one way traffic for Omar, who deigned to end things after four straight Vader Bombs and his signature Face Eraser.  As he did at Cruel Summer, Omar pinned his victim with his boot on their chest and demanded the ref count to five.

• Replays of Omar splattering Ashok all over the joint played and when they were done, Omar dipped the Fifteen Pounds of Gold from the ref’s hands and held it aloft, barking that he would do the same to anybody fool enough to get in the ring with him.  Malicía held up her National championship in kind while QFS surrounded the ring.  Up in the skybox, we saw Ig applauding watching his pet monster retain the QCW World title, clapping that only stopped with a knock on the door and a voice saying “Champagne delivery!”. Ig turned and opened the door to let in the NPC, but when he swung it open he got greeted by main character energy and Mason Razorblade Savage with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot in his head.  “HERE’S your champagne, (monkey farmer)!”  Razorblade smashed de Catur right over the head with the bottle and Commissioner Ig went down in a heap, and to add insult to injury Savage grabbed de Catur by the lapels and threw him out of the skybox; de Catur was forced to hang on by both hands.  Razorblade leaned over and menacingly hissed “The only reason you're leaving the Arena in one piece is because you owe me something, rich boy, and I’m damn sure going to collect.  And unlike this lesson, you're not going to leave me hanging.” Razorblade turned away from Ig’s desperate cries for help and kicked the door of the skybox open on his way out so hard it came off its hinges.  Ig’s cries for help only got drowned out by Steve gleefully saying “Sorry to end things on an Ighamger, but we’ll see you next Friday night when QCW continues to bring the Ruckus!”

• A Cruel Summer recap package opened up the show: stills of Ashok Banjerjee celebrating his preshow win with the Game Changers and Beast Mode celebrating their preshow win with Lolo Vuitton gave way to video of highlights from matches on the main card while “My Own Summer (Shove It)” by deftones played in the background.

• We saw Omar Littlefield decimating Jacques Krieger, pinning One Eye with a boot on his chest and making the referee count to 5 on the pinfall - the Chosen helping Caleb Gray beat Justice Davis and forcing Davis to join the fold as a result - Hysteria using their usual tricks and veteran guile to retain the QCW World Tag Team championships over Sky’s the Limit - Malicía Fernandez tossing Orion into a corner with a MF5 before hitting a Death Warrant to retain the National championship - Luz Cruz and Diana Spare going to war over the QCW Women's World championship, with Spare needing a second Nightfall to hang onto her belt; Cruz finally earning Spare’s respect and both women shaking hands after the match - then the scheduled main event.

• Nazir el-Fadal coming out steely eyed, focused and holding up 3 fingers - Razorblade clearly rattled about what happened to Justice earlier in the show but walking right up to Naz and holding up the Fifteen Pounds of Gold - Naz getting the first fall with Nazquil then yelling at and slapping around Razorblade, leading to Mason rebounding and winning the second fall with the Soul Crusher - both men exchanging rights, then slaps, then a double clothesline - members of the roster starting to gather around a monitor in the back as Razorblade hits another Soul Crusher only for Naz to survive by getting a foot on the ropes - Razorblade pulling Naz’s dead weight only to get sucked into a Nazquil, Razorblade having to grab the bottom rope to survive - almost the entire roster watching on backstage around Quality Force Security and the desk of (interim Commissioner) Ig de Catur - as Razorblade survives a Hamrin Valley Driver and Naz a pop up powerbomb, the Boston fans chanting “Fight Forever!” as Razorblade no sells a MDK elbow and drills Naz with a spinebuster, setting up a last Soul Crusher…except for the part where Naz slams Savage’s head off the ringpost, and then stuns everyone by not only bringing back the WMDDT but hitting an avalanche version before flopping onto Razorblade.

• The screen went to black but you heard the Bostonians make the three count.

• Back to video of the TD Garden erupting, Naz clutching the World title before getting his hand raised, white and gold pyro erupting - a wobbly Razorblade taking in the scene and nodding before shaking Naz’s hand and hugging his longtime rival to the shock of Naz and PPV viewers alike - Mason Savage leaving the scene to let Naz bask in the moment - a celebration interrupted by Ig de Catur coming out to say he knew he bet on a winning investment and asking Naz to join he and his associate Ms. Fernandez in ruling QCW.  Naz thanked Ig for weeks of presents and preferential treatment before his words got bleeped but we saw the fans’ shocked and then overjoyed reactions to Naz telling de Catur essentially to get on his knees and smile like a donut.  Ig took it in stride and introduced him to the newest member of his army: Omar Littlefield, whose reward for signing up was a World title shot right then - Naz landing a few good blows only to get Pounced nearly out of the ring - eating moonsault after moonsault while fans looked dismayed, those who could even bear to watch - Face Eraser - Face Eraser - and after Omar put his foot on Naz’s chest and barked at the ref to count to 5, a new World champion for the second time in 10 minutes.

• The package ended appropriately enough with the chorus of “My Own Summer (Shove It)” playing as Ig cackled while on  either side Malicía & Omar held up the National & World belts. At their feet Nazir el-Fadal barely moved.

• The Razorblade/Naz portion getting a couple minutes to breathe teed up the open.  Collipark isn't in it anymore, interestingly both Diana Spare and Hysteria have more screen time in it as do Beast Mode and Sky’s the Limit.  It ended with the Cavalcade of Champions and Omar glaring at us couch potatoes with the World title over his shoulder.

• We got pyro, the usual suspects at the announce desk and a bunch of loud, rowdy Quality Controllers who’s cheers came to a quick end as Ig de Catur came out surrounded by Quality Force Security, Malicía Fernandez and Omar Littlefield.  Ghaiz Guevara’s “The Old Guard Is Dead” died down, allowing Ig to cut a promo that alternated between blistering and braggy.  Ig said that years of investing in QCW had culminated in this, and just like his money had given the ungrateful fans the best Quality Arena there had ever been, it had gotten him the best personal army money could buy as he was surrounded by Quality Force Security - the best luchadora in the world who was currently redefining the National Championship he brought to the company - and the real best World champion in QCW history, Omar Littlefield.  The crowd chanted first for Razorblade and then Naz, but after yelling at the Quality Controllers to shut up he began laughing instead.  Once he stopped, he revealed that he’d used his stroke to ban both of them from the building tonight.  And honestly, it was for those fossils’ own good.  The broke basics might be standing in the house that Ig built, but his grandfather literally co-founded QCW until government overreach made him run off to Cuba never to return…exactly the kind of running Mason and Nazir needed to do. 

• Because he would be damned if he let some vulgar street trash like Savage or a vulgar egotist like el-Fadal be the face of his QCW when they didn't even have enough self awareness to play ball with the boss.  He didn't even try to send some cash Razorblade's way because what would he do with it, buy more ripped up jeans?  It would be like giving a pig a 401(k).  But Naz was essentially stealing from him for weeks and then had the nerve to try to publicly embarrass him on Sunday night?!  Well, while Naz and Razorblade were killing themselves he was having a chat with Omar.  And in exchange for letting certain parole violations last month be handled in house, Mr. Littlefield would sign up to be a proud member of the Republic.  He and Ms. Fernandez put past differences aside to stand side by side and implement Ig’s vision of a newer and better QCW, and if he got to put his stamp on things by sending the previous generation of QCW stars out to pasture?  All the better.  This wasn't the Nazir el-Fadal Show or Razorblade’s Roadhouse, no; like his grandfather before him not just Quality Arena but QCW itself were the house that he built, and he was looking forward to watching Malicía defend her National championship in the main event from a skybox he built - which is where he and QFS would be enjoying the rest of the show from before even more stench from the working class zeros got him.  After a “Long live the Republic!” from de Catur and a wave of boos from the fans, the corporatized goons all took their leave while Steve bitterly mused about Ig’s power trip and getting ⅔rds of the biggest singles champions in the company to back him up while he did it.

• After that, he threw things up to Duck Eko, who made the in-ring introductions for the opening match…right after the lights went dark in Quality Arena.

• 1. Justine Danek and Bella Jolie of Hysteria (w/Bonnie Agrippa and Nancy Crowley) d. “Explosive” Emily Bennett and Hilary Highnote at 11:12 Action on this Ruckus began with this tag bout from the women's division, and of course if you're talking about the division in the past 15 months then you're talking about Hysteria.  Here, the well established Danek/Jolie pairing handled things between the ropes while the World Tag Team champions circled on the floor throughout the match without getting involved.  Bennett and Highnote made some noise in the early going, but a blind tag set up a diving leg lariat HiLo combination from the QCW perennials and the babyfaces were fighting a losing battle from that point on. Bennett ended up going Twelve Feet Under and getting pinned by Danek while Bella made sure Hilary couldn't break up the three count.

• After replays, we came back to the ring where Bonnie Agrippa cut a promo saying that she and Nancy put Sky’s the Limit in their place Sunday and made the rookies look almost as bad as the International Players.  Justine and Bella had just earned themselves another win, and as promised all the indignities QCW had made them suffer Hysteria was returning three fold now.  In fact, the only reason Justine and Bella weren't the best tag team in the world was because she and Nancy were (she and Crowley held up their titles).  Nancy concluded by saying that anybody could face off against them if they wanted to fall under their spell, but they’d snap out of it once they were staring up at the lights.  All of Hysteria cackled before Agrippa snapped her fingers and killed the lights; as is their wont, QCW’s resident coven was nowhere to be seen when they came back on.  Steve teed up the night’s first commercial break after that.  

• 2. A Cut Above (w/S. Mark Starr and Prince Ootsuka) d. The Cooper Brothers of Sky's the Limit (w/Tre Boyd and Kam Ellis) at 10:41 Tough week for Sky’s the Limit as the Boyd/Ellis team lost Sunday night in their bid to gain the World Tag Team championships and the Coopers lost this one despite controlling the opening moments of the bout.  A Cut Above showed why they were the unanimous Tag Team of the Year last year by remorselessly targeting the eyes of their opponents, work that paid off down the stretch when DeMarius suffered yet another eye take and when DeMarcus came in to go after Evan O'Neill he accidentally bumped into his brother who then hit him with a nasty looking Lumbar Check.  The crowd groaned at the accident, perhaps sensing the end.  It didn't take long after that for Mare to get splattered with Above's signature Final Cut finisher and pinned.  All was well with the Stable as they picked up this bounce back W after losing during the preshow at Cruel Summer but a livid Tre browbeat the rest of his friends post match while the heels celebrated all the way up the ramp.

• The Stable passed what appeared to be a large wading pool as they did, and after a few beats “Shall We Gather At the River?” rang out through QA - at least what of it you could make out over the boos.  One member stronger after the events of Cruel Summer, QCW’s resident zealots filed out on the stage with the last two being a beaming “the Purifier” Caleb Gray and a fuming Justice Davis.  Via a wireless mic, Gray welcomed us to what would be the first of many rebirth ceremonies in the Quality Christian Wrestling to come.  Gray welcomed his newest convert Davis, who seethed and wanted this over as soon as possible.  Of course, that just made Gray twist the knife in even more, talking about how he was ordained to win Sunday and how back to back PPV losses had put JD in this spot as an example to the heathens in the audience.  All they had to do was praise Caleb - walk in his light and choose faith over fear - and they, too could be blessed like Mr. Tremble, Miss Gardner, Mr. Castle and Dr. Williams before them.  Today was a glorious day, the extinguishing of the Justice Davis who dared steal the Duquesne Cup and the birth of…”the Righteous” Justice Davis!  Poor JD barely had time to react to the new unwanted nickname before he found himself pretty heavily “baptized” (and held down by Tremble a couple of times to boot).  JD looked like he was going to lay them out once he was allowed to resurface, but Gray smugly told Davis that he knew what was in the contract for the deliverance match: if he lost, he had to serve the Chosen and if he didn't “the Purifier” could walk the contract over to Ig and get his as–behind fired for not living up to it.  So did he want to be unemployed or did he want to serve him?  Davis looked like he was trying to murder Gray with the power of his mind for a few seconds before his face eventually went slack.  Justice lowered his head and went limp as Caleb cackled and let out a “Praise me” before tossing aside the mic.  “Shall We Gather At the River?” kicked back in, and the Chosen started to walk to the back.  Gray and Tremble laughed their way out as the End Times followed them.  JD stood there as Steve threw things to commercial, but Goody Gardner stood there murmuring something (you could see her lips moving) and eventually she talked Davis into following with her a couple of steps behind.

• 3. “Zaddy Longlegs” Cole Grant and “Fahrenheit” Freddie Valsada fought to a time limit draw at 15:00 Debut of both Cole and Freddie, who had similar rollouts in the lead up to Cruel Summer and agreed to fight tonight on last week's show.  Though it took a couple of minutes for them to begin to win over the Quality Controllers, the crowd chanted for both men before it was over.  The first block of the match went Fahrenheit’s way and he had the crowd until Grant suddenly caught Freddie with a superkick that sent him through the ropes.  Valsada wasn't safe on the floor, as the lanky Grant came off the top with a tumbleweed that popped plenty of phone camera flashes.  Grant controlled the back end of the match but couldn't stop Freddie from kicking out of several near falls.  The closing scenes saw Grant warm up the band and went for another superkick but Fahrenheit spun it around and dropped him with a heart punch.  Cole kicked out at 2.9 with under ten seconds left and rolled out of the ring, causing the time limit draw.  

• After replays, we saw Grant roll back in the ring with microphones.  He asked everybody in QA to give it up for Freddie, which they did.  Grant said that he thought he had the reach advantage but Freddie almost made him his queen with that heart punch.  And after that match, he had only one question for Freddie - who cut him off and said he knew exactly what Cole wanted - he wanted to stop fighting and start teaming, forming QCW’s newest, most glamorous tag team!  Valsada and Grant…hell, Grant and Valsada…it would be more fantastic than four Pedro Pascals!  How did being co-captain of the Glam Squad sound?  Cole looked surprised but the crowd was behind the idea, so Grant shrugged, smiled and said “Let's do it, darling.” They shook hands and raised each other's hands before leaving the ring.  Steve said he hadn't ever seen anything like that, but apparently there was a new team on the QCW scene.

• 4. Sohla Patel d. Cindy Monet (w/Jane Doe) at 7:48 The losing streak that Collipark’s been on for the past few months continued here as Sohla got a little help in winning this battle between former World champions.  Patel quickly used a couple of cheap shots to put Monet on the backfoot early, and won a fight on the floor that she won by giving Cindy a sunset flip bomb into the steps.  Monet barely beat the 10 count but got herself swarmed by Patel as a result.  Sohla controlled the next few minutes and went to put a bow on things only to be caught sleeping when Cindy countered the Ninth Incarnation with one of her own.  That wiped Monet out but opened up the door for her to get a second wind and dish out what Sohla had to her earlier.  Monet connected with Rolling Thunder and was looking for her signature Tightrope when out of nowhere Fiona Fogg blindsided Jane Doe on the floor; after tossing Doe into the ringpost Fogg used her Flatliner x Koji Clutch combination to start putting Jane to sleep and a distracted Cindy got rolled up by Patel.  She had a handful of tights and her feet on the middle rope but since the ref missed both those tactics it was Sohla who stole the victory.  Fiona let go of Doe and headed up the ramp while Sohla looked a bit surprised but pleased at the help from Her Excellency.  Ruckus went to break with Sohla being her usually charming self as she celebrated up the ramp and to the back.

• When we came back, Steve set up the scene for footage that took place During The Break, as Beast Mode jumped Collipark when they came backstage and despite being at a 4-3 disadvantage took out both the International Players and Science Fiction Double Feature.  Lolo Vuitton took out the already beaten up SFDF with her loaded Jimmy Choo while “These Hands” Roy Fade talked smack about how the Players were old and trash while throwing hands.  “Dashing” Pierce Moore took out Lucius Patton with a Fresh To Death cutter on the concrete, and if you're wondering where Quality Force Security is, it's in the skybox protecting Commissioner de Catur.  Beast Mode walked away cackling while Steve bemoaned the fact Collipark couldn't catch a break lately (without bringing up You Know Who).  Back to the ring…

• 5. John Arneson d. Bob Osterberg (w/Dom DeSade) at 5:20 Multi time champion Arneson (aka the Iron Dwarf) made his QCW debut a couple of weeks ago by housing DeSade and similarly had little problem disposing of the other half of A World of Pain in a showcase match.  A top rope powerslam he calls the Natural 20 secured the win for the Wisconsinite.

• Ahead of the main event National Championship defense, Steve dished out some hype for next week's Ruckus: we’ll hear from the Women's World champion “Night Sky” Diana Spare 💫 Based on what just happened backstage, a rematch from Cruel Summer will see Beast Mode square off with the International Players 💫 And the Fifteen Pounds of Gold will be on the line when Omar Littlefield defends the QCW World championship against his first QCW rival, Ashok Banjerjee

• 6. Malicía Fernandez [c, w/Omar Littlefield] d. Atum Pharoah at 8:14 to retain the QCW National Championship Ig watched the main event from one of the skyboxes he’d installed in the Arena, secure in the knowledge this was Malicía’s to lose.  Between backup in the form of the new World champion and opposition from the lower ranked Egyptian powerhouse the night went smoother than not for Fernandez.  Even the threat of Littlefield on the floor distracted Atum enough for Malicía to sneak up on him and toss him into the dividing barricade; Pharaoh didn't put up too much more of a fight once that happened.  The match ended after the buckle bomb version of the MF5 and a Death Warrant.

• But the night didn't end there.  After replays we saw Ig in his skybox flanked by Quality Force Security applauding the glorified squash while Fernandez got her hand raised and raised the National title overhead.  Omar was headed into the ring when the apron fluttered and before Littlefield could even get his hands up Nazir el-Fadal had rolled out from under the ring and buried Greetings From Hayt Corner between his eyes.  The crowd roared as the bundle of barbed wire kendo sticks found their mark, while a cut to the skybox saw Ig barking at his QFS to hit the ring and handle things.  But there was no way they were going to be fast enough to keep Naz from getting in the ring and throwing hands at Malicía.  Fernandez was so desperate to slow him down she hit a low blow to stem the tide.  She went to follow up with another Death Warrant but el-Fadal slipped out the back and gave her a dose of Nazquil right onto her title to the pop of the night.  A recovering if bloodied Omar hit the ring with the fastest Security members but Naz slid out of the ring and headed through the concourse.  The crowd chanted for the Greatest Man Alive while Ig fumed in the skybox, Malicía and Omar swore revenge from the ring and Naz swore at all three of them like profanity was his native tongue - but what didn't get bleeped out was him saying he was going to destroy them all and get his World title back.  el-Fadal proudly stomped out of the building with his rabble patting him on the back and Steve thanked us for spending a couple hours on their Friday night in Parts Unknown.  Tune in next week when QCW continues to bring the Ruckus!

After losing the World Tag Team championships and then mentor Jupiter Jones, the Players have been on a downward spiral - something noted and mocked by the recently heel turned Mode.  The Players showed their first signs of life in months by fighting back, the same sort of fight they’ll need to show here as both teams jockey for position in the division and a possible shot at the tag titles in the near future.

Preshow | the All Starr Stable (w/S. Mark Starr) v. Ashok Banjerjee and the Game Changers 

The Stable have been on shaky footing since they lost the tag belts earlier in the year and have been frustrated at their attempts to shut down the perpetually positive Banjerjee, who with his new partner occupied on the main show successfully recruited the former champion Game Changers to team with him in trios action.  Can the Stable finally put Ashok down and in the rearview mirror or will the Boundless one and the Game Changers make S. Mark Starr rip even more hair out of his head?

MAIN CARD

Jacques Krieger v. Omar Littlefield 

Littlefield has been uncontrollable since losing the Fifteen Pounds of Gold at AnnIVersary and has been taking it out on anyone in his path since: other wrestlers, security guards, even referees.  But Littlefield took it to a new level at last month’s Extreme Never Dies supershow when he urinated on a decimated opponent post match, shocking the usually unflappable crowd at 2300 Arena.  While he was serving a suspension and leaving the interim Commissioner Ig de Catur unable to find anyone willing to take on the former World champion, Krieger won a feud against the Prince who replaced him in the All Starr Stable and decided to bail out de Catur by being Omar’s opponent.  The hard nosed Krieger has won championships and multiple matches in under 30 seconds but let's hope his fighting spirit doesn't land him in the ICU standing across the ring from the ever dangerous and imposing Littlefield.

deliverance “the Purifier” Caleb Gray (w/the Chosen) v. Justice Davis 

The rivalry between the last two winners of the Duquesne Classic has ramped up in recent weeks after Davis rebuffed the Chosen's efforts to help him win the World title against Razorblade at Mayday Payday.  A war of words between the longtime rivals got us the deliverance stipulation for this match: a Davis loss makes him the newest member of Gray’s flock…but a Davis win forces the Chosen to disband (remember that acolyte Drake Tremble lost a similar match to JD a couple years ago which forced the group he led to disband and eventually led to his praising Caleb).  JD looks to avenge his Cold As Hell loss to Gray; Caleb looks to put an antagonist in his employ and get the Duquesne Cup back in house when they collide Sunday night in TD.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 

Malicía Fernandez [c] v. Orion

Fernandez was undefeated in QCW for nearly six months straight before a well timed Orion inside cradle put an end to it at Mayday Payday, the Cosmic Superstar getting revenge for Malicía taking her out at Golden Rule and their brawl getting them both eliminated from the Duquesne.  But Malicía responded by getting on a new winning streak, then shockingly throwing her lot in with Commissioner de Catur and stealing the National Championship away from Razorblade at Extreme Never Dies last month.  Fernandez hasn't cared about the negative reaction from the Quality Controllers, feeling she hasn't gotten the respect her elite run in Mexico and South America merits - but what the luchadora has cared about is Orion and the Quality Controllers calling her out for the Mayday Payday loss and even Orion interrupting matches and promos with the decisive three count.  The constant hectoring got Orion what they wanted: a Mayday Payday rematch, now with a title on the line just to add more toppings to the sundae.  Orion looks for history to repeat itself and Malicía looks to shut up her biggest detractor while adding to her 10 Count - who will walk out of Boston with the National Championship?

QCW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

Bonnie Agrippa and Nancy Crowley of Hysteria (w/Justine Danek and Bella Jolie) v. Tre Boyd and Kam Ellis of Sky’s the Limit (w/the Cooper Brothers)

Since returning to QCW last spring, the collective known as Hysteria have raised hell, caused chaos and captured championships - first the Women's World championship last fall when Luz Cruz was their leader then after booting her post title loss, capturing the World Tag Team championships under the helm of new leader Agrippa.  Sky’s the Limit are the foursome coming into this match with considerable steam as well: after the Air Force alums debuted back in the spring they were surprised by Beast Mode turning heel on them but won that subsequent feud, then used that as a springboard to win a #1 contendership match to earn this shot at the gold.  Brash and flashy leader Boyd has stressed from their arrival that they're focused on domination and capturing gold - and if that sounds familiar, it's because Hysteria was making similar promises last summer that they've fulfilled multiple times since.  Can QCW’s resident coven hold onto the straps, or will Sky’s the Limit curse Hysteria to a short titles reign and capture the gold?

QCW WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

“Night Sky” Diana Spare [c] v. Luz Cruz

When Cruz turned heel last year at AnnIVersary to take the reins as Hysteria's leader, it was Spare who she laid out from behind to do so.  Cruz won the Women's World championship for the first time the next month and reigned from the winter until the spring, then got turfed from Hysteria on the Ruckus after Golden Rule for losing the belt.  Who she lost it to was Spare, who has spent the year as a champion whether it be the decommissioned Crush championship or the Women's World champion since the last time she faced Cruz.  Night Sky has defined herself as a fighting champion but understandably when Cruz won the #1 contendership, it had the usually frosty Diana seeing red.  The Champ is suspicious of Cruz generally and has even floated theories that this is a long con from Hysteria; Cruz's denials and Hysteria’s unwillingness to issue any denials have only made Diana more paranoid while Cruz has stood up to and renounced her shady ways, even making the save for Diana from a couple of Hysteria beatings in the build.  But Cruz hasn't been shy about wanting to regain the Fifteen Pounds of Gold, the championship Spare holds most dear and returned to QCW last year to get back.  It's Spare/Cruz II for the Fifteen Pounds of Gold, and the match’s result is destined to have ripple effects for months if not years to come - a match that wouldn't surprise anyone if it stole the shoe Sunday night.

Razorblade [c] v. Nazir el-Fadal

Ohio State/Michigan - Dodgers/Giants - Lakers/Celtics - and when we're talking about legendary rivalries in the nearly 70 year long history of QCW there's Razorblade v. Naz and then there's everything else.

We would need a two hour documentary to do the full history justice, so let's skip to last fall and pick things up with Razorblade ending Omar's reign of terror at AnnIVersary and winning back the World championship.  He received a new title from then Commissioner Holmes, the crowd went wild, a large portion of the roster celebrated - but Naz came out and slow clapped on the ramp, causing Mason Savage to get in his face.  el-Fadal had stolen a win from Autumn Powers to make her leave town and gain the #1 contendership earlier in the show; Holmes punished Naz by making the main event a ¡lucha muerte! fight that figuratively and almost literally burned the house down as Razorblade delivered the Soul Crusher through a flaming table to win what would be named 2024’s Match of the Year when the Quality Awards came around.  

Razorblade was out of action for a month (something Naz gleefully took credit for) but then went on his current reign that is widely regarded as the best title reign this side of Ray Gunn’s holding the belt for all but three months of the sixties; he would beat both Naz and Omar in a three way dance at Cold As Hell, then become a double champion at Golden Rule by beating Caleb Gray and continued on his roll by besting his tag partner Justice Davis at Mayday Payday.  It took Ig de Catur revealing a secret alliance with Malicía Fernandez at Extreme Never Dies to pry the National Championship away from Savage.  Extreme Never Dies ended that way and began with Naz winning a #1 contendership gauntlet to earn this shot, continuing his own roll from beating Pyotr Caviar at Rule then Omar in an ambulance match at Payday.  Over the years Naz has gone from being the man who fans love to hate to earning their respect and then finding the fan base pretty solidly supporting him in this giant killer era.

Razorblade, understandably, already wasn't buying into the idea of a babyfaced Naz given the fact el-Fadal tried to pull a less successful version of this a couple of years ago.  To add fuel to Savage’s side of the story, Ig has been seemingly recruiting Naz to join him by bribing him with his own private dressing room, his own custom car and constant protection from Quality Force Security.   Naz has accepted the gifts as his due and tweaked Razorblade about it, saying he knows now how good Razorblade had it in the Holmes regime and maybe now it's his turn for preferential treatment.  It was Naz who went to Ig and asked for a Pick Your Poison night to add a stipulation for this match; when el-Fadal came up with the faster time he said that after being forced playing Razorblade’s game last year he would force Razorblade to play his this month, hanging a best of 3 falls stip atop this fight for the Fifteen Pounds of Gold.

After a couple of weeks of reluctantly keeping each other healthy, what is possibly the biggest main event in QCW history will come to Boston, and, hell, might be another Match of the Year.  

For Naz, his obsession with regaining the World title and proving that he - not Razorblade - is the greatest wrestler in QCW history culminates in him getting the match he wants in a possible final bid for redemption.  Beating Razorblade twice in one night when most of the roster combined can't beat him twice over the course of a calendar year is the sort of thing that would be at the top of el-Fadal's Hall of Fame resume.  It's entirely possible Cruel Summer ends with the One Man Jihad leaving Boston once again the World champion.  

For Razorblade, it is a chance to silence his biggest rival once and for all by beating him at his own game not once but twice.  It would put him on another level not just between him and the current roster but the entire list of anyone who has ever walked through QCW’s halls.  It would definitively prove there is a difference between being a Hall of Famer and the GOAT.  It's entirely possible Cruel Summer ends with Mason Savage leaving Boston #ANDSTILL the World champion.

Best of 3 falls for the 15 Pounds of Gold - but it's not Cubs/Cardinals, it's not Alabama/Auburn and while it's in TD Garden it's not Celtics/Lakers - it's Razorblade vs. Naz for the World title.

Four title matches, grudge matches, a loaded preshow and the sort of combat sports entertainment that only Quality Championship Wrestling can do.   Are you going to miss Orion and Malicía fighting for the National Championship?  Will the fly boys of Sky’s the Limit be able to break Hysteria's spell over the World Tag Team championships?  Can Luz Cruz win the Women's World championship the right way and stop Diana Spare's title reign?  And with Razorblade and Naz writing another chapter in their storied rivalry, who knows what’ll happen in the main event besides another instant classic and maybe 2025’s Match of the Year.
