LAST WEEK ON RUCKUS:
Commissioner Holmes announced a new QTube show called Unleashed that will debut next Wednesday
Autumn Powers dominated "Dark Mirror" Beckett Carpenter and went up 2-1 in the Best of 5
Cindy Monet made a triumphant return and beat "Night Sky" Diana Spare for the Crush championship
Pyro's popping, Controllers are too in their own way, and it's another raucous Friday night from the Quality Arena. Steve was doing his usual greetings but couldn't even get into hyping matches tonight before "Unscripted Violence" brought out Mason "Razorblade" Savage, who got an S tier pop and ignored it to get the mic from Duck Eko before rolling into the ring. Savage said he was here for a Face To Face with the big spook, and he wasn't leaving the ring until he got it. Razorblade paced the ring and started calling out the Revenant again when the lights cut out.
Nick Cave came on over the PA, the Quality Controllers booing the imminent arrival of the Unified World champ - but he popped up on the Qualitron 9004 instead with an evil grin on his face.
The.Rev said he was sorry to ruin everyone's evening, but he saw Mason standing in the ring trying to dictate terms like he was still champion. Maybe that fall into the grave knocked something loose, but the Big Bad around here is still him. So as champion, if Savage wants to keep chasing him he won't be doing it past Sunday night. Because outside of Savage, he has obliterated every man foolish enough to cross his path. Some chose to exile themselves to the desk, others he made double tap out, but a special mortal like Mason deserves no less than something special - QCW's Sword of Damocles driven into the man some call the heart of QCW.
He heard Mason's whining about never pinning him or making him submit, but after that changed in two moons the Revenant would have a trophy so big it would only be outshined by his Triple Crown. For if Razorblade wanted another chance to be defeated, he would have to turn Sunday's title fight into his Last Stand.
The crowd oohed at this but Savage let out a gutteral bark of a laugh and asked if that's all he had. Because before he had his Triple Crown, Razorblade was double champ. Before he even thought of getting here, Savage was clawing for respect and recognition and now look at him - he's got the Big Bad right where he wants him before a title match. The Rev may claim to be immortal, but surviving the streets of Chicago means he's as close to it as types like him get. So the question isn't going to be if he accepts the Last Stand stip, since he does. It's what's going to happen to the Big Bad Rev Monday night when he wakes up in some St. Louis ICU 15 pounds lighter. "Because that's what you've got coming at Cruel Summer."
Savage's grin was far too wide to be friendly.
"TRUST ME."
The Rev looked furious and then his red right hand covered the screen; "Unscripted Violence" took over the PA and the crowd roared.
But Mason Savage stood in the ring still glaring at the QT9K04, still in a Donnie Darko ish pose…and ready to bring the fight of his life for his Last Stand on Sunday night.
Announce sold the exchange with Steve losing his mind over the stipulation that would bar Savage from another shot at the Unified World title ever again, while Naz lost his mind giddily over the fact that once that undead goon got his second helping, The Thief would finally get his just desserts, el-Fadal leaning over the desk and into the camera just so you could see the spittle fly when he bitterly said he hoped that Season's Beatings was worth it, because on Sunday the bill was coming due. A disgusted Steve threw things to Duck to get tonight's action underway…
| • Shelley LaVey d. Fiona Fogg • | In ring action began with a run back match where the outcome turned out differently; as a grim faced LaVey came out GRPL+ Helpfully Reminded Us That Three Weeks Ago Fogg extended Lavey's losing streak in part thanks to "Dashing" Pierce Moore's showing up - his unwanted (?) support distracted her and set her up to lose again.
Former Catch Hell Women’s champion Fogg came out next to a decent reception from the Controllers, flashing a bit of a smirk at the downtrodden LaVey. In fact, the match seemed to be more of a Fogg showcase than anything, as she controlled 85% of it. Fiona seemed to be set to polish things off with her Unspeakable, but LaVey wriggled and landed safely behind the Brit before spinning her around and drilling her with A Very Familiar Looking Cutter that Materialized Suddenly. LaVey recovered while a dazed Fogg slowly ended up on her back; Shelley flew off the top rope with a splash and secured a 3. **
Replays of the cutter and the splash hit - when we came back to live action we saw LaVey with a small smirk on her face as she walked backwards up the ramp while Fiona’s glassy eyes resembled her last name. Guess where we went from there?
TOTHEBACK~! where Enya Face welcomed her guests: the College Park Family and the NEW Crush Champion, Cindy Monet. A huge pop came out in the Arena as Collipark walked out, with the biggest pops being reserved for Jupiter Jones and the new champion out last. Enya congratulated a smiling Cindy before asking her what was next for her now that she was champion. Cindy put over Diana Spare as being a great champion and hard to beat – but since Cindy found a way to beat her, the Android's focus was on becoming a great champion starting tonight. The Crush title is her first in QCW, which means it's going to take heaven, hell, earth, purgatory and anything else you can think of to get this away from her. Because this was just the beginning of the Fam's comeback and it was already off to a great start - now the boys could catch up to her and she could catch up to the 10 defenses she needed for a cash in; next stop the Women's World Championship.
Cindy thanked Enya for her time before Enya threw things to the first commercial break tonight.
✨
Back from commercials, we got a video package that took up a couple of minutes highlighting the eight man tag that saw the Proper Villains and the Wonderful Ward Brothers beat the Red, White and True and Team Batroc. The Villains challenged the Wards to the match up next; if they win the Unified World Tag Team title match on Sunday turns into a three way dance.
Both teams got good pops as they came out; probably the Wards ranked a tick higher on the applause-o-meter. All four men shook hands after the bell rang, disgusting Naz.
The opening five minutes featured a bunch of nifty chain wrestling between "the Fury" Jim Jaspers and "the Wonderful" Rich Ward, a little bit of Stampede vs. World of Sport that saw both men barely get one counts before getting to a knee with a cocked fist much to the delight of the crowd. The Controllers even fired up a "tag team wrestling! 👏 👏 👏👏👏" chant. Rich extended his hand, and Jim took it - then pulled him into a short range European uppercut that knocked Ward on his ass and set off some ripples of booing in the Arena.
The Villains took possession of the match in the minutes after that, and while they didn't go full heel they (especially Jim) fought with an edge as they tried to earn their titles shot. They found harmony in their increasingly frequent tags, Richard Windsor deploying submission holds and some nice suplexes interweaving with Jaspers' more brawling offense. A cut to the back saw Team Batroc watching on a monitor, Serge Batroc pointing out certain moves and talking to Pyotr Caviar, who merely nodded occasionally while staring darkly at the screen.
Being able to isolate Rich had the Villains in good standing, and they went for their combo finisher only for Jason the Great to leap into the ring and absolutely clock Jaspers with a leg lariat so loud Naz burst out laughing as the Fury folded like a J-3 offsuit. It was so loud that Windsor turned around to see what had happened - right into a big Wonder Cutter. The referee was getting Jason out of the ring but Ward slowly pulled his brother closer to the corner and while he couldn't get him all the way there, he was able to quickly hop out to the apron and lean over to tag himself in (the SQUEEing from some of the female Controllers was audible after he did).
Once he did he was a domicile ablaze, even running over to send Jaspers flying off the apron with a springboard European uppercut. Jason dominated for a couple of minutes and then seeing his brother starting to recover, looked to bring him into the match. Windsor snuck up on him with an O'Connor roll - but he missed Rich's blind tag. Windsor's roll through bridge put him in perfect position to eat Rich's elbow from the top, but the Wonderful Ward staggered only to be cut off by Jaspers' Fury Road that had all four men down in the ring. The Controllers fired up a "This is awesome! 👏 👏 👏👏👏" chant. A cut to Team Batroc backstage showed Caviar looking like he was going to the ring before Serge put out a forearm to hold him up, and that ended that.
Steve made sure to remind us that Rich and Richard were the legal men as Ward stalked Windsor before leaping with the Wonder Cutter…but Richard pushed him off towards the ropes right towards a hangman from Jaspers on the apron. Windsor wiped out Richard with a half and half suplex that sent him flying across the ring, and he immediately went for a cover - Jason came in the ring to make the save, which he probably would have done had Jaspers not jumped off of Windsor's back to drill him with a step up knee strike that cut him into sections. Windsor got the three; the crowd seemed a little surprised by it but gave the Villains a really good pop as they got their hands raised. *** 1/2
| • the Proper Villains d. the Wonderful Ward Brothers in a non-titles match to be added to the Unified World Tag Team championships match at Cruel Summer • |
We got replays and when we came back to the ring, we could see the Villains celebrating on the same set of turnbuckles, both men making A Very Familiar Gesture around their waists. A quick cut to the back showed Serge shaking his head and walking away while Pyotr followed his mentor, and then we saw the Wards trying to recover in the ring. As the Ambassadors champs headed to the back, you could hear Jim offering up a cheers before saying they'd see them Sunday…and to have their belts ready.
From there we went TOTHEBACK~!, where Julius Duquesne III brought on “These Hands” Roy Fade & “Dashing” Pierce Moore as his guests to some boos from the faithful. Moore looked offended; Fade didn’t care. JD3 talked to them about their finding success as a tag team, and Fade said that while he usually didn’t run with the pretty boys from the other side of town, of course they were successful - they were successes! Moore has the best finisher in the game that’s not his, and Juli is standing next to the only three-time TV champ in company history. So they weren’t getting together for craps and laughs, but for the culture, not just in QCW but in the world. Going forward, you could call them…Fade gave a little chuckle and said since Moore won the coin flip, you could call them Beauty & the Beast Mode.
Moore took over the promo, saying that Fade helped him out when he was down and he owed him for that, so now they were going to move…forward…and…a clearly distracted Moore ran away from the interview, and cameras followed him down the hall where he was trying to catch up with a departing Shelley LaVey, and he held his hand up for a moment while he caught his breath. LaVey rolled her eyes but waited, and once he was able to talk he congratulated her on her win earlier and noted she’d busted out her own Fresh To Death to help win…it was really good! But if she worked with him, maybe trained with him, he’d show her how to tighten up the cutter…and Shelley cut Pierce off there, saying that all she wanted to do was go home and celebrate her win alone. And for somebody watching her so closely, Pierce should already know she was as tight as it got around here. So if he didn’t mind – Moore nodded once and let Shelley bypass him, but he did look in her direction as she walked out of the shot. After that, it was back to the ring.
| • Cindy Monet [c] d. Midsomnar to retain the Crush championship 1️⃣ • | Showcase for the new champ in her first title defense against the masked jobber; the Android polished her off with the Tightrope before the five minute mark. **
After replays, Monet celebrated with the title before Steve said he was going to the ring for what was to come next, leaving el-Fadal to hope something bad happened to Steve so he could take over the whole desk before teeing up some commercials to end hour 1.
✨
We returned to Steve in the ring behind a velvet covered table and a handful of chairs. Vandeblanche was in the process of starting his introduction when “Roar” took over the speakers and out marched the Women’s World Champion Karyn Tisch-Warren, who cut off Steve while she was still coming down the ramp.
The Notorious KTW said that she knew what he was trying to do, introduce the greatest Women’s World champion QCW had ever known, but unfortunately for him and the rest of these Florida freaks she was putting a kibosh on the whole thing. What was supposed to happen was that someone was supposed to challenge her for the Women’s title on Sunday but she’d cleared out the division! Autumn would rather play mind games with a nutjob than look her way, she’d beaten Lolo clean in the middle of the ring last week (I believe Spanish speakers refer to this sort of thing as mentirosa) – so she’d signed the contract, but even Steve had to admit that without any sort of competition, she’d be better off skipping the PPV entirely and
And that’s when “you should see me in a crown” fired up and out marched “Night Sky” Diana Spare on a beeline to the ring. Tisch-Warren tried warning her about approaching the ring but when Diana came in, she left, and watched from the floor as Spare signed the contract to cheers while staring down Karyn the entire time. Spare snatched the mic that got left behind and said that on Sunday, she’s ending Karyn’s BS and her reign as champion. The crowd cheered as Billie Eilish came back on over the PA, Spare daring Tisch-Warren to come after her. Karyn took off her earrings and set the title down on the announce table, while in the ring the table flipped to reveal Sohla Patel and Scott Warren-Tisch hiding under it because of course they were. Diana did well against Sohla, but then turned around right into a belt shot from Karyn. Spare went down in a heap and International Lotus stomped away on her, Tisch-Warren locking in a Circuit Breaker to add injury to injury while Sohla grabbed Diana’s limp arm and made it tap out before Quality Force arrived to pry Karyn off of Diana. “Roar” came back on over the PA to boos (as it should) while Lotus smarmed their way up the ramp, Karyn promising more of the same Sunday since Diana was dumb enough to come for the First Lady of Fitness.
| • Super Avión & Crusazdo del Oro d. Danny Castle & Martin Williams • | Tag action started off the in-ring stuff for hour 2 with the doomsayers Castle & Williams going up against the luchadores here. The outset of the match saw lucha libre winning the day, Crusazdo kicking off things by going against Williams. Oro hustled around the ring, picking off Martin with some dropkicks and armdrags before bringing in Avión for some high speed double teams. Avión picked up the pace even more before falling victim to a cheapshot from Castle on the outside, and then it was Castle x Williams’ turns to start exercising their double teams on their side of the ring, the camera catching Oro pacing on the apron.
Avión managed to fight his way out of a double team to drop them with an inverted DDT/standard DDT combo to stop them in their tracks. He was able to tag out to Oro, and the former Lucha Salvage kingpin was too fast for them to handle. Oro doesn’t do death by a thousand paper cuts but rather a dozen or so crazy highspots, including taking out both his opponents simultaneously with a rewind rana that blew everybody’s minds. With the opponents laid waste to, Oro brought back in Avión for the denoument – both men flying out of their corner at the same time next to each other with 450 splashes that ended Martin’s night and got them a W. ** ½
Oro’s celebration was larger than Avión’s but they both took in the love from the Controllers as the announce put them over as another strong pair of contenders to add to the Unified Tag division, and we weren’t done with tag action on Ruckus yet.
"Stranglehold" brought out the Red, White and True to boos, Drake Tremble on the outside for this one as his underlings Bobby Bash and Ted Holland got "coached up" by him once the trio came into the ring. For those following along on Quality Social, ahead of Tremble's match with Reggie Strong on Sunday he challenged Reggie to find a partner and face his boys here tonight, and here we are.
Sade brought out Reggie Strong to a good pop, and he strutted out and started to come down the ramp before pausing and turning back towards the QT9K04. There was a few beats of silence…and then "Bodak Yellow" hit the PA and everybody was shocked to see the emergence of Lolo Vuitton. Tremble's mouth was more open than a 7/11 as Vuitton and Strong exchanged some kind words and came down the ramp. The announce was in rare agreement over Reggie getting a surprise and decorated former champ over on the RWT as they hit the ring - Strong sitting on the middle rope to allow Lolo in.
About two seconds after that they got jumped from behind because of course they did. The crowd booed while Tremble gave the marching orders, and in short order they cleared Strong from the ring to focus on Vuitton. Since being screwed out of the Women's World championship by International Lotus Lolo's been slightly drifting towards the side of the angels and it got cemented here as she ate the cosplaytriots offense in the first few minutes of the match. Bash laid in some of his heavy handed offense but it was actually Holland who ran point for most of the match. To the credit of the bad guys they hit an impressive variant of the Demolition Decapitation, and that was the last big move we saw before the last commercial break of the episode.
✨
We came back from the break to see Holland applying a neck vice to Lolo, with Reggie on the apron stomping the stairs to fire up the faithful and help guide Lolo towards the corner. Vuitton got out from under and gave Holland a shinbreaker before dumping Ted with a Face Eraser that hit a reset button on the fight. Both Lolo and Ted went to tag out, but Lolo managed to do it first. Ted tagged out, but Reggie short circuited his entrance by dropkicking the middle rope to set up a pendulum piledriver. Drake started running his mouth so Reggie PKed it shut, and Mr. Superfine kept rolling on through the rest of the match despite giving up some size to Bobby. Reggie got a near fall that might've finished the match had Ted not dove in with a timely save. Lolo leapt into the ring and smoked him with a Bloody Shoe that sent Ted over the top rope (and onto Drake to boot) before she came back and tagged Bobby with a Shoe as well. The ref escorted Lolo out of the ring - or at least tried to, as Lolo faked him out and delivered another one. A woozy Bash was ripe for the picking, and Strong popped the crowd when he managed to plant Bash with his Fine and Dandy to get Superbloody the W. ** 1/2
| • "Superfine" Reggie Strong & Lolo Vuitton d. The Red, White and True (w/Drake Tremble) • |
The Red, White and True were left in various states of distress as Strong and Vuitton did his strut up the aisle, Steve putting over their cohesiveness as a tag team while replays fired off.
Before we hit the main event, Steve was kind enough to highlight the card for Cruel Summer coming up this Sunday SUNDAY SUNDAY; before he did he mentioned that should Dark Mirror find a way to win, the fifth and final match in the Best of 5 series would take place in St. Louis with the rest of this card:
☀️ It's been building for weeks and now they finally face off one on one - rising rookie "Superfine" Reggie Strong looks to topple the Red, White and True's leader Drake Tremble ☀️
☀️ Shelley LaVey will face off against Cindy Monet with the Crush championship on the line ☀️
☀️ The match for the Unified World Tag Team championships might steal the show - it's a three way dance with the Wonderful Ward Brothers defending against both the Proper Villains and Team Batroc - last team standing walks out of St. Louis with the belts ☀️
☀️ Another title match that's been building for weeks and weeks will see Karyn Tisch-Warren defend the Women's World Championship against "Night Sky" Diana Spare - can the upstart Spare take the next step in her career and stand on top of the women's division after Sunday? ☀️
☀️ And it's the Rev/Razorblade II for the Fifteen Pounds of Gold but tonight added even more stakes to it…now it's Razorblade's Last Stand and if he fails to become a two time Unified World champion, he'll never get another shot at the title he made ☀️
Some things in life are skippable but Cruel Summer isn't, so you better make sure you're watching live Sunday Night for yet another high quality PPV to live up to the Q in QCW.
We went to Enya backstage in the Sweet Spot with an unusually animated Beckett Carpenter. Enya tried to ask them a question about the Best of 5 series and their must-win match coming up next but before she could finish the question, Carpenter cut her off and said “Look: I know I’m behind in the series. I know that I barely won the first match, and looked like a pushover in our last match. I also know that, if I’m being honest, I probably deserve some of the righteous wrath that she has been raining down upon me.
But know this, Autumn. I can be beaten. I can be broken. I can be mocked. But I will not be dismissed. I earned the right to compete for that title. I have shown up week after week, won some, lost more, but I was here, damn it!”
“So were we," said two familiar voices.
"Tiki God" Al Buffett and Ashley "THEE Influencer" Szabo entered the frame and helped to calm the trembling Beckett down. The three Game Changers engaged in a group hug.
“You got this, brah,” Tiki said reassuringly.
“And we got you,” Ashley cooed. “She should know what happens when you break a mirror."
“Yup,” Tiki chimed in. “And her seven years starts tonight…”
The three walked arm in arm offscreen and towards the ramp.
| | • the main event • | |
"This Town Ain't Big Enough For the Both Of Us" brought out the reunited Game Changers to a huge pop, Al and Ashley flanking Carpenter as they came out to try to keep the series going until the PPV, Carpenter posing on the buckles as (most of) the crowd cheered them on.
"Mota" by the Offspring brought out Autumn Powers to an equal if not slightly bigger pop, the GRPL+ World Television champion trying to end the series in a gentlewoman's sweep with a win here. If the appearances of Al and Ashley were a surprise, it was one she was going to either ignore or pretend to as she got right in the faces of the trio, stared down Mirror, and slowly raised the belt up over her head.
After the intros from Duck, the bell rang, and the Arena broke out into dueling chants, causing Autumn and Beckett to look around them. Carpenter seemed a little more focused on finding her fans as Powers calmly walked to the center of the ring and waved them on.
Shortly after that, the hockey fight was on much to the cheers of the Controllers and Naz, Powers eventually outslugging Carpenter and sending them on their heels before whipping them into the ropes and cracking them in the mouth with a back elbow. Autumn kept the pressure on Beckett, but still couldn’t even keep them down for a two count. After a couple of minutes, Carpenter would create an opening by surprising Powers, following her into the ropes before stunning her with a clothesline. Autumn took the hit and started rolling away from Beckett out towards the apron, but when she drew herself up Carpenter ran forward and drilled her with a flying forearm, and Powers went s a i l i n g all the way to the announce table before bouncing off of it and hitting the floor with a sick thud.
It got as many gasps as cheers, and nearly as many replays; Powers whiplashing off the desk to go splat on the ground - it almost looked like Zapruder footage. It seemed that as we went back to live action, Carpenter’s wheels were turning. Rather than opting to win by countout, Mirror followed her out to the floor and snatched her up before tossing her into the barricade. Powers’ supporters were booing even louder, and Beckett would give them even more reason to boo by tossing the champ into the steps before throwing her into the ring and going to tie the series.
Powers managed to get out at 2 ½, but now the momentum of the fight had completely shifted. As the next few minutes played out, Naz begrudgingly gave the underdog credit for keeping an offensive focus on the head and neck to set up the Look Inward, but when Mirror tried to tee up their trademark hammer and anvil elbows, Powers still had enough strength in her to block the attempt. Carpenter lashed out with an enzui PK that scrambled Autumn’s brains further, and got another nearfall out of it.
Al and Ashley gave them some encouragement as they refocused and plowed on, Carpenter running for the ropes only to get surprised by Powers’ discus back elbow and end up almost entangled in the ropes with an increasingly worn Autumn almost tripping over her opponent’s boots. Autumn righted the ship and snatched up Carpenter before hitting her with a slingshot suplex – but not just that, Autumn rolled through with it before heading for a corner and placing Carpenter up top. Steve thought Powers might be going for a superplex, and the Controllers started to stand as Powers followed Carpenter to the top for what she hoped would be a killing blow to end the series.
But Beckett fought back, first with hammer blows to the back of the neck, then a couple of short range headbutts that also left them loopy, almost falling off the top. Carpenter recovered first and slapped themselves across the face before launching themselves out of the corner with an avalanche sunset flip powerbomb that turned Powers into a capital C on the mat. The effort took a lot out of Beckett, and when they crawled over to cover Autumn again rolled out of the ring, Steve putting over the in-ring IQ of the two-time former Women’s World champion as she tried to gather herself on the floor.
Powers crawled around a corner as Beckett crawled out of the ring themselves, and you saw their eyes go wide right before they rounded the corner where Autumn was. Carpenter slowly lowered their kneepad as Autumn tried crawling away from them, before they let out a war cry – and sent Powers flying into the steps with her own version of the Hazy Shade.
People were cheering, booing, losing their mind – the Arena was loud as Powers crumpled in a heap with her arms by her side while Carpenter was almost passed out next to them gathering their strength. G+ fired off a couple replays as Carpenter got Powers dead weight up to the apron then into the ring to just barely beat the 10 count. Dark Mirror slowly got in the ring themselves, pulled Autumn to the center of the ring…and pinned her clean in the middle of the ring. ***
| • "Dark Mirror" Beckett Carpenter (w/the Game Changers) d. Autumn Powers [c] to win the GRPL+ World TV title and tie the Best of 5 series at 2 • |
You could hear Carpenter audibly yell “WHO’S NOT READY NOW?!” right before Al and Ashley got in the ring, clapping and cheering Carpenter as they got their hand raised. The referee went to check on Autumn as the Game Changers hugged it out in the middle of the ring. The hug might’ve gone on for quite some time had the gasps of the crowd not alerted them that something was up, and the troika broke up the hug and followed where the fans were looking –
– at the stage, where Commissioner Holmes had a mic tucked under his arm, applauding alongside most of his fanbase. He spoke briefly, saying that as much of a pain as he found Beckett sometimes, he loved seeing the effort they put together here tonight and put over the entire Best of 5 series, saying that putting two of QCW’s best against each other time and time again was what QUALITY CHAMPIONSHIP wrestling was about, after all, and they’d delivered time and time again, and would do so one more time on Sunday to settle who was the undisputed World Television champion.
But Sunday wasn’t just an ordinary day - it was a PPV night, and QCW’s first trip to St. Louis in over 40 years. Autumn and Beckett did something special in the ring for the first four matches, but he was going to use his power to not only give the QCW fans what they wanted but conclusively settle this once and for all.
So not only were Carpenter and Powers facing off at Cruel Summer with the title on the line – they were going to do so in a BEG FOR MERCY match!
Everybody lost their shit, including you.
Scratch that.
Everybody lost their shit…except for Beckett Carpenter.
Holmes gave a smile and headed to the back as the camera focused on an extremely psyched THEE Influencer and Tiki God next to Dark Mirror, who merely turned their head slowly over their shoulder to look back at Autumn getting checked by the referee and let a small grin creep over their face. Steve managed to get out some last hype for the double main event of the Beg For Mercy and Savage’s Last Stand matches at Cruel Summer before Ruckus blipped out for the night.
